1 Star – Deeply disappointing stay for the price

At first glance, the hotel looked fine, but the problems started right away. The room had large gaps around the door, letting in bright hallway light all night so it felt like sleeping under a streetlamp (see photos). The AC unit made a loud slamming sound every 20 minutes, and several basics didn’t work — the phone, a lamp, and even the TV placement made it impossible to watch from the bed. By morning I was exhausted. When I politely told the front desk the room shouldn’t be rented out again, I received only a scripted “I’m so sorry.” For over $300 a night, I expected far better. Would not stay again.

Decent hotel, good location

The Delta by the airport is a good business hotel, especially for location. It’s very close to Pearson, with a regular shuttle back and forth, and within walking distance to the Toronto Congress Centre. There are a couple of restaurants nearby, plus options inside the hotel, car rental on-site, and a large parking lot. The rooms were clean, the price was reasonable, and overall it’s a convenient choice for business travelers. The only drawback was at the hotel bar — we were a group with five rooms and asked for a bottle of liquor to share, but were told they only serve drinks by the glass. This made the experience unnecessarily expensive and a bit disappointing. Reception staff could also be a little more welcoming. That said, it’s a solid hotel for convenience, comfort, and location near the airport. Just consider the plane taking off and landing and use the provided earplugs
