Amenities poorly maintained. We have stayed here several times. This time we arrived to an HVAC unit that was shut down (for the winter, maybe?). Contacted the host who remotely turned it back on. However, HVAC was not working so host called an HVAC technician who arrived 4 hours later and fixed a broken part. Great, now maybe we can get some air? Yes and no. The thermostat reflected that the inside temp was 75. Cooled the place down to freezing but the thermostat still said 75. Only way to turn off the A/C was to increase the setting to above 75 so that room temp air blew out. Contacted the host who did not respond. The refrigerator was missing 3 shelves and one of the drawers was broken. The freezer was full of ice which had partially thawed and refrozen creating an unusable ice dispenser. The microwave was missing the glass plate turntable. Screens were missing off all the upstairs windows which we wanted to open to try to cool the place down. Remove on main den TV would not connect the the Xfinity box. Worked, just wouldn't operate the box (not a battery issue). Downstairs TV did not have a cable box with it. Gas fireplace would not operate. The list goes on and on and I feel sorry for the next renter if the weather is cold. They will have a grand time trying to regulate the inside temperature. I will say the Weber grill is the nicest grill I've ever used at a VRBO property. And the location to Townsend is very, very convenient.
