"Beautiful view of sunset and beach. Close to pier 60 and close to a ton of restaurants and shops. Spacious room and comfy beds. The only negative I would mention was that beach chair and umbrellas were said to be provided but they were with an addition fee and while Hyatt got you a discount of $20 per day, it was only one per room. We had 4 people so it was two umbrellas and 4 chars which was $62.50 per day. Should have been stated in the listing so the actual cost was apparent. Still a fabulous stay and a wonderful place to stay. They let us check in a few hours early which was a huge bonus. I would absolutely stay there again!"

"Great stay overall, with a few things to be aware of We had an overall great stay — the property is comfortable, and the ocean view was amazing. The staff were friendly, and the location worked well for our trip. The atmosphere felt relaxed, and most essentials were exactly as expected. There are a few areas future travelers should know about. The carpet was noticeably dirty, which took away from the otherwise clean feel. Replacing the carpet with tile would be a meaningful improvement. The air conditioner was quite noisy, especially at night, which may bother light sleepers. There’s no proper pathway between buildings, making it less convenient to move around the property. Despite these issues, the stay was still enjoyable, and the positives outweighed the inconveniences. With a bit more attention to maintenance and accessibility, this place could be excellent."

"I usually stay at Hyatt when I do my staycation in clw beach and this time I decided to go to the opal sands Great choice. The layout of the property , the view from my room(1008) The free upgrade from ocean view to ocean front for using Expedia. The bar at the pool has an attentive girl running drinks, there’s another bar right at the end of the beach called the sandbar and it’s great. I highly suggest getting your drinks from Keith if you wanna stretch your dollars on drinks, he poured up twice as strong shots as the others and called it a Florida shot. Loved that. The burger was great they had a gluten free bun and it came with cheese and bacon and fries included. Drinks were like 12 bucks. DURING THE DAY AT THE POOL THEY RANDOMLY COME OUT WITH ICE CREAM SANDWICHES, Klondike bars , nutty buddy’s free. The halls are stocked with bottles of water in a fridge for free. Free daily baked cookies on every floor. The only thing they could improve is instead of closing hot tub at 10 and opening at 7 am. Maybe do a quiet hours or open it at 5am so gym users can dip in after. That’s my Only complaint. Better clientele of people at this hotel too. Night and day the clientele."
