Fantastic condo in a great location!

We had a great time staying here. The view was amazing and we most days watching sea turtles while we ate dinner. The location is fantastic as it is minutes away from all the major areas. We will definitely be staying here again next summer!

Great place to stay if you're traveling all over Maui. You really can see turtles from the balcony that are swimming in the shore below. Hotel management was very responsive to our needs as well.

We arrived at our condo and there were nats everywhere, all over the lanai and inside the condo , everywhere. I called and advised of the situation and they said from the amount of rain that this was common, however not common enough to let us know. We couldn’t use the lanai at all as they were out there in swarms. It did get better however never fully went away. It was very disappointing as this was a main staple in where we picked to stay. Sitting out on the lanai having a cocktail or just watching the sunset and rise. Couldn’t do it as they were everywhere. I took pictures. We did have a beach chair that broke, but they ran one over right away so we could take it to the beach. It was clean beside the nats. Our trip to maui was a good one just wish our stay was more enjoyable.

The condo was very clean and well equipped. It is too close to the sewage treatment plant so you cannot go out in the ocean. It’s a very central location to everything on the island so travelling is easy. Overall it’s a great place to stay.

Clean Location and amazing view

The view is to die for especially if you like watching the whales from the balcony! Loved the location as it was east to get north to Lahaina and south to Kihei. Felt safe in the community and a small general store in walking distance for coffee and light lunch. Very clean property.

Amazing view!

We had an amazing time at Ma’alaea! The view from the condo is amazing and the sound of the crushing waves was spectacular. This is one of the windiest locations on the island which helped keeping the condo cooled off. We loved the location, the set up and the amenities of the condo. We would stay there again.

Beautiful view!!

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. The ocean was spectacular. the location made it easy to get to lots of different places on the island. The condo was on the older side but clean and the view was awesome. We were able to take beach walks every day. The condo was quiet and I think geared for adults which was perfect for us.

Great stay in Maalaea

We had a great stay at Island Sands in Maalaea. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a week’s stay. The lanai is really amazing with such a beautiful view. Maalaea is centrally located so driving to South, West Maui, or Upcountry is quite easy. You are also waking distance from the harbor where a lot of the tour boats take off for Molokini. We would certainly recommend staying here for future visitors!

Great place to sit back and enjoy the fantastic and private ocean view. Everything was clean and well stocked. My only suggestion for an improvement is it would be nice if there was a place to sit and store shoes when entering the condo. A mixology set would also be nice.

Island Sands at Ma'alaea was heavenly, period.

The only issues we had were water dripping on deck, from AC unit making a huge amount of water. Everything was absolutely wonderful! I loved having the beach chairs & coolers there to use. It was the perfect get a way, I would highly recommend it and definitely return.

Relaxing

A nice relaxing place with a great view that’s very central in Maui to all that you could want to go see. Great accommodations so you can cook, also do laundry so you won’t have to pack as much and comfort chairs provided that you can also take to the beach. Nice quiet community with some honu neighbors who pop up regularly! I’ll definitely keep this on my favorites for future visits.

Nice Central Location

Overall the location was great in the center of Maui near the Aquarium so easy to go anywhere you needed to go. The apartment was good for a small group. It had good ameneties for cooking there on site except for some basic supplies that would be helpful. Maybe having some basic cooking spices and some coffee filters and basics for that would have been nice. Overall a good place for a small group.

Excellent stay!

The property was exactly as described and just as everyone else said...THE VIEW!!! It is truly breathtaking! We had the pleasure of seeing turtles coming every night for dinner on the rocks directly in front of our lanai. Everything you need to be comfortable is available for you, we even used the boogie boards and gave it a try! The bed is very comfortable and we left the back sliding door open every night to listen to the waves. 10 out of 10...highly recommend!!
