Love the locus trees, yard and central location. Inside of Inn was dirty, unkempt. Room had no character.

Family wedding

The waitsfield inn was clean and comfortable. The small window in the room had no curtain so the sunlight came in to wake you up. As it was not critical to have an in room tv it would have been nice to know there was not one. Unfortunately most restaurants and bars closed relatively early it was a nice area.

The Waitsfield Inn is centrally located in the village. So much to do and see. The Inn is is quaint and lovely. We’ve stayed there before and will stay there again We love the simple buffet breakfast.

A quaint Inn

Chose this Inn as a central location to explore southern Vermont. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had all the basic needs covered. I would stay here again.

It's a small vintage New England Inn - and perfect for those that would rather have a good nights sleep and a friendly atmosphere over the sterility of a large commercial chain. No staff hovering and self check-in. A buffet breakfast of cereals, yogurt, fruit, coffee and tea. The owner upgraded me to a larger room free of charge after I had made my reservation. I will return next time I'm in the area.

The breakfast was good and availability of snacks, refrigerator was adequate. Our bed was comfortable, but bathroom was very small. We had to lug suitcases up to a second floor with many steps. There was no one available to help us and the front walk was a bit challenging with snow and ice.

Close to Sugarbush

Great place to stay for a ski weekend. Only 10-15 min from sugarbush’s Lincoln Peak. Also had complimentary breakfast from 7:30-9am. The inn is also close to many restaurants that are within walking distance. Check in and out was smooth, as my key was left for me well in advance. My only complaint is in regards to the availability of staff. I mistakenly locked myself out of the room, and we didn’t hear from the innkeeper in regards to getting another key for about 90 minutes after we initially called and left a few messages. I wished that we didn’t have to wait as long. Overall, still a pleasant stay and would definitely go back there again if o ski at sugarbush in the future.

Frank is an excellent host & inkeeper. This historic building has the charm and warmth any visitor would appreciate. The beds are comfy, the organic and home made breakfast delicious and the common living areas offer many opportu ities to relax, play games or to watch a movie. Highly recommended!

The Waitsfield Inn is a beautiful historic New England-style Inn/BnB. The rooms are decorated comfortably, the common areas are warm and inviting, super easy check-in, delicious breakfast (be sure to try the homemade oatmeal!) and an easy drive to ski Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. There are a few restaurants nearby as well. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teen and 1 kid) stayed in one of the family rooms and although we wished we had a bigger bathroom (just a small shower stall), it was all we really needed for a couple days. The room was large, beds comfortable, and really a lovely stay. Thank you so much! We hope to be back on our next visit to the beautiful Mad River Valley!
