The place is looking pretty tired, and could do with a revamp (or at least a good scrub-down in the showers to remove years of residue on the walls and showerheads). TV doesn't have casting features, which is quite incredible nowdays - also had to get a staff member up as wouldn't even default to the correct HDMI channel. Had to use the heater as it was too cold in the room. Chilly breeze coming out of the vent in the early hours, right onto the head. Prefer to have an option to control my own room temp. Friendly staff. Room service dinner was adequate taste-wise. A good size meal. Would prefer to have seen that parking was an additional nightly charge prior to booking. An ok stay - nothing amazing to rave about. Probably expected more for the price and reputation.

Firstly, we were given wrong king bed room while we booked for a twin room. Secondly, fridge in the room is not working. There are mold in shower walls. Also it feels the windows are single glazed.

Hotel was slightly difficult to find but once we did we were very happy with our room, comfortable bed, microwave, jug, fridge, small TV and table and chairs. Lovely staff on arrival, fast check in. We stayed in room 1601 and while compact was more than expected for a night's stay, very good central location for walking to restaurants and shopping, Te Papa and waterfront. Would happily stay again.
