This was such a beautiful hotel! The room was spacious, the spa tranquil, the pools and hot tubs relaxing and the Mallard lounge had one of the best bowls of clam chowder I’ve ever had. They had an efficient shuttle that ran every 10-15 min that brought you to the village where you could shop and eat and enjoy a beautiful day. Walk out the back of the hotel and you are steps from the Blackcomb Gondola. The problem I had with the hotel though was even asking the concierge about any of these details. Each time we went up to ask about restaurant recommendations, gondola inquiries and even simple purchase info for Fairmont items, they were useless and stand offish. My friend and I were even in our robes after a spa treatment and were asked “are you guests here?” I pointed to us wearing our robes and got “that sometimes doesn’t mean anything” How rude! I would do more research on other hotels that offer similar amenities next time before going back.
