Find a cheap Hotel in 3rd Arrondissement

"Good news: The location is across the street from a useful Metro stop and also a Monoprix which opens at 8am. (If you run out of toilet paper etc you are expected to buy your own & the Monoprix has a good patisserie counter which is substantially cheaper than the in-house breakfast. Even better is the boulangerie a short walk away at the corner of Rue St. Denis & Réamur). Not so good: Having travelled to over 50 countries I felt the 'hotel' was overpriced and was very disappointed by the response to our week-long to and fro regarding getting the a/c turned on. Each room appears to have a controller but it only works if the entire hotel a/c is turned on! Service response: There is usually one person on duty in the tiny entrance hall and the level of help varied from 'extremely helpful' to a surly "I'm busy, you'll need to come back tomorrow. Just open a window." You get one free room clean per week. XLNT towels, lots of hot water. Conclusion: This is not a hotel but a series of rental apartments. So, assuming it has a hotel-type response, is perhaps a mistake. Our room was clean and felt 'new' and had good dishwasher, hotplate and pans, crockery etc."

"Overall, really great experience. The room was very nice. Loved the bathroom that doubles as a steam room. The treats, personalized stationary, and signature scent were a nice touch. We didn't eat there, but we had some cocktails that were good. The pool was kind of a let down. If you like to do laps, you might like the forced water feature that allows you to swim in place. But otherwise, there's nothing special about it. No hot tub and no steam room. We did have one odd interaction. We totally forgot about a turn down service. We were in the tub and my wife noticed someone in the room. I jumped out and asked who was there. The shower/tub space is a separate room from the main bathroom so I had nothing on. The person came in and started talking to me while I was trying to cover my privates. Asked them to leave. Instead that went back to working on the bed. Kept telling them I'd like them leave. Instead they finished the bed and left. Weirdest hotel moment of my life. "
