Good well equipped room. Excellent desk space for working. Comfortable room, bed and bathroom. Gym small but well equipped. Free access to public outdoor pool next door, temperature is very cold. Breakfast had good varied food selection. 5 to 10 mins walk to high street for groceries, restaurants and cafes. Did not use public transport but bus stop to central Amsterdam very close to hotel.

Very nice hotel; however, was very disappointed. Weeks prior to our stay we emailed twice to say that we would be arriving around 11:00 am after flying all night long. We requested an early checkin. Upon arrival we were told that they were "preparing" our room. We were exhausted and waited in the waiting room/reception and continued to ask if our room was ready. All other patrons that arrived were given room keys as we waited and were reminded that "check in is 3:00 pm". We were told that the delay was because we had a terrace. (We never requested a terrace and a terrace certainly was not a priority for us or a perk, all that was necessary was a clean bed for rest.) Yes, at seven minutes to 3:00 p.m. we were given our room keys. We would have surely purchased an extra night room had we even dreamt of the frustration of sleepily hanging around a reception area for 4 hours. This experience truly tainted our Amsterdam experience. Would have given a five star for the hotel/restaurant staff; however, the front desk staff is the reason for the lesser. Very nice continental breakfast!

Clean, well run hotel, with helpful friendly staff. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was excellent. Very comfortable beds too. Only slight disappointment was the cost of food in the restaurant, which seemed very high indeed.

Comfortable beds, pillows. Room was too warm for my family so we did not sleep well for three nights we were there, air conditioning in room was ineffective but lots of noise from it. The hotel is good - was quiet, staff polite and the room cleaned very well, daily (thanks, Paul). It is a bus journey in to the centre of Amsterdam (historically we were told this area was not part of Amsterdam so it is outer area) and somewhat further than I anticipated, with the area around the hotel feeling a little questionable to start with (myself and 2 children). It is on the main road in to Amsterdam with not much in the immediate location (feels a little 'intersection'), with some men sat around drinking alcohol on the street most of the time). However, we found a lovely pizza restaurant, a few cafes and supermarket - only a 10 min walk. Public transport is amazing (the 22 bus stop is right outside the hotel and takes you in to centre of Amsterdam). Whilst we would have loved to stay in the centre of the city, by the canals, cost wouldn't allow so I would recommend this hotel and we will return again. Thanks Art Hotel we had a lovely visit!

Overall fine, the local staff helped deal with the confusion and limited hours the pool is available. Overall stay was good, but clarity and transparency should be front and centre for family room bookings. Manager found a one off solution that was appreciated. Thank you.

We absolutely loved the property, and also the location! It was very close to the bus 22 which took us all over the city, and even back to the airport at the end of the trip. Highly recommend and would go back!

Good stay at pleasant hotel

Good stay, but I asked reception night staff if we could use the pool next door and she said it wasn’t included. We paid to use the pool next day, but the day after that staff at pool said entrance was free for hotel guests. We were also given single beds when we checked in, despite me informing the hotel before our stay we were there for our wedding anniversary. Otherwise I would have given five star rating all round.
