The veranda and patio on the beach side is indeed beautiful, and exactly as pictured. Ocean was rough when we were there, but that is of course no fault of the owner. Owner and manager Iza were very responsive and a pleasure to work with.The kitchen, while spacious, was not very well appointed. It lacked some basics that are necessary if you like to cook: there were no serving bowls, no ladle, ONE dishtowel provided, only one cutting board, one roll of paper towels, etc. It seemed stingy. At very minor expense it could improved significantly. Property manager would no doubt have responded to help us if we raised any of these issues, but they were too minor to raise individually. But collectively, a significant annoyance. We found the beds very comfortable, but A/C in one room wasn't working well. Lighting was a lot of flourescent bulbs, which could be improved. It was also a little offputting to need to pay an extra 100 to use the laundry machine. We understand the beach is hard on laundry machines, and that a water/electric bill are probably expensive, but given the cost of the place over a week it seems like is should simply be a cost of doing business. As others have said, it is not a quiet neighborhood (truly impressive stereo systems on some cars cruising by...). But that said, we actually came to really appreciate the location. It has character, and the people couldn't be nicer.

Our four day Puerto Rican beach vacation at Blue Nest was exactly what my girlfriends and I needed. We had a few issues, but Iza was quick to respond and take care of them. Overall, I would recommend Blue Nest for anyone looking for place with a peaceful, beautiful terraza right on the ocean. I would definitely love to come back someday.

This location was so fun - the beach was amazing! The neighborhood is nothing fancy, but an easy drive to great places to eat close by including the one directly across the street. The street noise is a bit loud over night - but other than that - a great place to vacation!

The home was fine, with a fantastic patio for cards. The only real issue we had was the first day we were on the beach & patio, when the bugs (no-see-ums) bit several of our party, who required anti-itch medicine every 4 hours. The restaurant across the street had the best food we tried all week. We were frequent visitors.

Great location, Very quiet beach, practically had it to ourselves. The town is very close and has everything you'll need. The beach was amazing, lots of fun waves to play in and potential surfing a 100 yards away. The waves are large to small kids but you can walk down the beach towards the lighthouse and swim in the tide pool area for the young ones. The bar across the street does play music on the weekend until 10 PM which can be a annoying if you are trying to sleep earlier but other than that we enjoyed our stay!

This house is very, very nice. Thr pictures are accurate. House is well stocked. Kitchen could use a few more pans for cooking but that is really just a personal want. Man i have been to many beaches around the world...and this beach is perhaps the best ive ever been to. 100% clean. No trash. No seaweed. Rocks? Not a 1. Clear water? Check. Very low amount of people. Pool though small is very well maintained and excellent for hanging out.Rooms all have personal mini-splits. Beds are decent/good.Property manager was excellent and very helpful. 1 word of caution....the street on front of properry is a little busy and driveway is narrow. We had a 15 passenger van and it was a little tight so id recommend just having regular sized cars. 2 can fit inside gate.Excellent property!!!!!

We had an amazing 3 week vacation in PR with friends and family!! This house fit our needs and made our trip!! The beach is amazing and not crowded. The pool was perfect. We cooked, ate, relaxed and had so much fun here! And as an added bonus the restaurant across the street had fabulous food and the best margaritas!! I would recommend this house to all!!!

Great house for family vacation

Beautiful place for a family vacation. We had everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation. Good central location made it easy for us to enjoy activities from Rincon to Fajardo. Check in was a breeze. We were promptly greeted, given the keys and a tour. Beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean and in good working order.We spent the majority of our time in the backyard and patio. Good pool but a bit difficult to get out of. Needs a ladder or an extra step to make it easierThe no-seeums are very active here so make sure you use the spray when sitting out sideThis place is a gem. We will definitely consider staying here again

Definitely Worth It!

This place was just what the doctor ordered. The neighborhood could be nicer. There are some rundown homes near by. The home is on a busy street so coming in and out of the parking area could be challenging. Once you close the gate, you feel secluded and safe. Now as far as the home itself, everything was great. It's a bit tight but our group of 10 was fine. It's nicely decorated and the AC in each room worked great. There is no AC in the common areas. Now, what you pay for is the yard and beach access. We spent most of our time on the outdoor patio and hammocks. The kids loved exploring on the beach and running in the yard. If your on the beach at dusk or dawn, spray yourself with bug repellent. There are sand fleas and they got my 11 year old bad, when she was out at 5:30am with her dad watching the sun rise. Disnt stop her from doing it again the next day. We grilled and had great family meals in the outdoor dinning area. The pool was perfect for our group and everyone enjoyed it. Iza the house manager was awesome and quick to respond to anything we needed. We will definitely recommend this place to family and will be returning when in P.R.

Paradise!

Paradise without even leaving the deck. Our family enjoyed a week at this cozy waterfront home. Compact rooms and the owners thought of everything to make your stay magical. We used the BBQ for dinners as this location was too beautiful to leave. We had plenty of towels and chairs and sand toys for kids. The pool waterfall kicks in daily at 930A offering a relaxing setting.We enjoyed the sandy beach just a few steps away, the surf was too strong for our grandkids but they enjoyed the pool.Mosquitos are abundant in the early evening so prepare with spray and clothing.Our only disappointment was to find they charge extra for use the washer/dryer. We stay in many VRBOs and have never come across this. As a luxury listing, this should be reconsidered. The neighborhood is quite rundown, but once you’re in the house, you will not see this. The grocery store is approximately a 15 minutes drive and casual restaurants within a couple miles.We highly recommend this home!

Backyard Oasis in Arecibo

Overall, we had a nice stay in this house and appreciated the stunning back patio and access to the beach. There are a few things we would note:1) There is no generator at the house. We were there for a large island-wide power outage. We were able to save our food because we had bought a few sleeves of ice and there's a deep freezer in the kitchen. Luckily, the power came back within 24 hours.2) Laundry is on site for a fee but was out of order for our visit. Ask for extra towels if laundry isn't functional. Air drying takes a long time.3) After heavy rain one night, the master bedroom had a small flood. We think the leak was from a joint between the wall and the floor. The owner couldn't find the source of the issue. Unfortunately, we had a lot of things on the floor that got wet and clothing that had to be line dried. I would advise that travelers keep anything important off the floor.4) The house is on a busy road and not sound-proof. On weeknights it's pretty quiet, but you'll hear a lot of loud cars on the weekend.5) The back door is not sealed properly and generally doesn't latch unless locked. If lights are left on inside, you can get a lot of bugs coming in when it rains. Keep the lights on outside and lights off inside when it rains. Hope this helps future travelers! I would recommend that the owner also add a binder of info such as wifi password, things to do in the area, etc. Cave tubing with Aventureo PR was a highlight of our trip.

Blue Nest perfect house on the ocean

Blue Nest great house plenty of space, liked the bathroom of the patio outside as that is where we spent most of our time if we werent on the beach. Quiet beach not crowded. Great bar across the street, great food. We cooked most our meals at the house on the grill. Walked to the lighthouse every day. Would stay there again. Very comfy beds.

Believe the photos: The house is bright and pretty, the terrace and beach are stellar! Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was big and stocked with everything you could think of, including a 3-gallon drinks dispenser perfect for mojitos. We picked this for our son’s beach wedding; the bride’s family booked a larger house just one door away. Most of the time we had the huge beach to ourselves. Note: sand fleas and noseeums were really bad while we were there, so use the spray they provide every time you sit outside! Glad there was a washer & dryer but other places we’ve stayed included it as a perk. New gastrobar across the street has great food, especially tres leches cake.

We were disappointed property not exactly as listed it needs some work. On our second day shower head hand holder leaked, third day toilet leak both problems on the second bathroom .Problem taken care of after host was contacted. Flies and bees came in and out the house every day. Mattresses and pillows very soft should be replaced. We did loved the out side settings and the beach.

Awesome Time!!!!

Blue Nest is a great house at on a awesome beach in Arecibo. We had everything that we needed and was in walking distance to bakery/convenience store that we became regulars at during our stay. The best part if staying here is that you are a very short distance from El Pozo del Obispo which the kids loved and is a great place for pictures. I highly recommend Blue Nest to any family and look forward to booking another family trip here soon!!!
