Very well situated! Nice view on a higher floor! We liked the fact that the bedroom had doors since we’re tavelling with our baby and could prevent waking them up before we go to bed too. Having a washer / dryer was handy.

An apartment with the ease of being a hotel too. Our room was spacious yet cosy. It felt luxurious and comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Nice and helpful staff. Access to harbor and shopping. Difficult to understand how hotel can provide housekeeping, towel changes and replenish shampoos etc but they charge $2 for every coffee pod they issue. This issue was not a good business practice. Most disappointing .

At check-in, I was overcharged for parking. If I did not review charges and compare with listed prices, I would have paid $120 NZD more than what I was supposed to pay. Fortunately, I brought to the staffs attention, and got refunded. Hotel seems dated and overpriced for what other hotels offer in the area.

We had a great stay at the Avani - even an upgrade into a two bed suite! The rooms were a little dated but spacious, walking distance to the bars and shops and quiet for the CBD. Would definitely stay again!

Everyone was great to work with. We had a late flight in and when we arrived they knew exactly who we were and expedited check in so we could get to our room quickly. The room was quiet and clean. Very comfortable bed.

Amazing place. Had a superior room, has everything you could want - hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine, dryer, microwave, large TV with sound system, separate living/dining room. Top location, close to main shopping areas and dining options. Staff were excellent on check in. Can't really fault it, and very good value for money. I am paying less for what is basically an apartment, than I would pay for a box room in a London chain hotel. Will definitely stay again in future.

Loved our stay at Metrpolis. The building is of superior quality with lots of marble in common areas… yes some parts of building could be updated and the huge swimming pool, spa and sauna are awesome but could definitely use a paint and maintenance done. Our accommodation was great with lots of space, equipped with washing machine, clothes dryer, dishwasher, very well stocked utensils in kitchen, microwave, oven and full fridge and great wardrobe space. Once again our room was a little outdated but the quality was certainly there. There isn’t a restaurant in building but cafes etc are within easy walking distance and you are close to everything central in inner city. Would definitely stay there in the future as you do get far more value for your money than other accommodation in Auckland CBD.

Avani Metropolis Auckland CBD

Great stay. It’s a regular for us, for good reason. Spacious and clean. It’s starting to look a bit tired in most of the rooms, but not bad overall. The front desk are always welcoming, super helpful and friendly. Being right in the heart of the CBD for shopping, restaurants and cafes it’s not a problem that they don’t offer room service. If you do want to dine in you can get to go food, or can grab ingredients to cook for yourself in the well equipped kitchen. Close to Albert park if you fancy a walk. Overall a great place to stay.
