It’s a really cool building right next door to spark arena so super handy if going to a concert or other event there. The rooms are clean and tidy and it was very quiet. It’s nothing fancy, the rooms have been done up but as cheaply as possible and not with a high attention to detail.

Nice clean room in a nostalgic unique building. Walking distance to the Strand train station for boarding the Great Northern Explorer. The halways are a bit noisy when people moving about, but for most part fairly quiet

It is a big wow when we entered the building! A sense of history! The lady at reception is very kind. Room is tidy, aircon is powerful and quiet. 5 stars for the value! Recommend to anyone who needs to catch an early train departs Auckland Strand.

I felt the room was very overpriced for a very basic room but it was clean & tidy with a nice bathroom. Right next door to Spark Arena which was convenient for our concert, the lady on reception was lovely, showed us to our room & gave us a later check out time. Take earplugs though as very noisy outside all night.

This hotel is in a historic train station…. It’s a very cool stay in the building and has a dedicated cooking area that is massive! The only downside was the water pressure

It was fine. No amenities. No cable TV. Quite basic. Location made everything walkable and we only slept there so met our needs. The old railway station was quite cool with the architecture and such. Overall if you need a cheap place to stay that is secure and comfortable I would recommend.

A nice basic setup with some kitchen amenities located in an old rail station for some ancient. Indian restaurant onsite for convenience. Really close walk to Viaduct area, SkyTower etc. Some steep hills so consider rideshare or Transit if mobility is an issue. Parking was easy, right out front but limited space so pre book! Would stay here again.

My room was cleaned daily and the staff were friendly - however the check in process was confusing as the staffed hours were incorrect and the building was locked when I arrived which was unsafe. The remainder of my stay was okay and the building had everything it needed and was in a good location.
