Nice Lodge, but certainly could use a refresh and paint job. Rooms in the motel part look and feel old and worn out. Staff was kind and courteous. Easy to check in and out Breakfast could use some fruit for guests

We stayed for 3 nights & the lodge did provide a continental breakfast. However , can't give the breakfast anything more than poor to average. There was no variation in the selection whatsover. Bacon was undercooked & greasy. Scrambled eggs were always cold. No fresh fruit, yogurt or muffins was provided however coffee was fresh & hot. The main lodge itself is fairly well maintained but the rooms in the Skye Lodge are in very poor condition. All the wooden furniture in the two rooms we had very very, very worn. Screen door was had a broken off kick panel, curtains were missing hooks, bathroom exhaust fan broken, no plug for bathroom sink,toilet handle constantly sticking, etc. I could go on & on but the bottom line is unless the owners put some serious money into repairs & renovations, I cannot recommend it more than a one night stay & definitely no repeat visits. The only saving grace was the location to the town of Baddeck was excellent.

Staff was excellent. Food at the pub attached was great and very helpful with food allergies. Very accomodating with pet with easy access to outside.

We used this stay to get an early start on the Cabot Trail. It was very convenient as it is super close to town. There is no EV charging on site - our only inconvenience. Breakfast was workable. Bed a bit uncomfortable. Walls very thin and could hear neighbours. Overall it worked for what we needed

The room had rusty lamps with torn shades, old doors that don't seal, scrapes on the wall, the TV was dysfunctional in that the image distorted. Furniture tired and worn. The door hinge was coming off, and there was a visible gap around it. The breakfast was powdered egg and weird sausage rounds. We only had it once. The wholewheat bread was OK. I would never stay here again. How it was rated at 4.3 out of 5, is beyond belief!!
