The apartment had a great location to explore the inner harbor and actual apartment building location was better than the address listed. Parking was easy with in/out privileges and the rate was better than any other options. Pool on terrace level was a nice escape and had a lifeguard. Apartment itself was on two floors with bedrooms, two bathrooms and washer/dryer on second floor. Televisions had Netflix, but nothing else (a digital antenna on one TV would have been nice). Building was secure with key fobs to enter doors. Beds were comfortable although low to the ground. Couches were modern although less comfortable. Kitchen was moderately furnished. View was away from harbor, but not a big deal.
Although Pelican requested we give them our arrival time the place wasn't ready. Had to wait 1/2 hour to get the keys. It was filthy, bathrooms had hair on the floor, since were full of soap scum. Someone had been smoking in the place. The apartment was completely mis-represented, the amenities are a lie, don't believe anything they tell you. No hand soap, dish soap, diswasher soap. Towels were dollar store quality. Carpets are disgusting. It's a slum. No balcony, no city view. Most items in the place were broken or in ill repair. No luxury here! There is no one on site to assist with problems, I called immediately regarding the cleanliness expecting them to send a cleaning crew. Nope, take pics and send an email. Really?!?! Buyer beware on this one. I am requested a refund for at least my cleaning fee. We came from Michigan to Maryland and had to track down cleaning supplies to clean the bathrooms, find hand soap all during a Pandemic. Thank you Pelican for screwing us over. Hopefully the people who stayed before us were healthy.
i have stayed at the residence in baltimore 3 times and my experience was always amazing.
sadly, not this time, and it will be my last
arrived on friday, and no tv cable box. called customer service, who blithely dismissed my complaint, telling me they had issues with xfinity tv and if i was dissatisfied, "write an email." my response was that i was talking to her, why do i need to waste my time writing?
i was in baltimore over the weekend for business. yesterday was the super bowl and watching was of vital importance to forming a relationship with a potential business partner.
no cable provider to watch it. i was constrained to open up my laptop to watch the game online and the internet in the room was slow, and eventually, non-functional.
once again i called customer service. i was told by a female, that "i am going to check the connection on our end and will call you right back." she never did.
the rooms are spacious and stunning, and well appointed with all of ones needs for a great stay. but this time, hot water was almost non-existent.
its also the company's responsibility to make known to actual and potential customers that they cannot provide tv service, and that internet is poor at best during peak time. they make known that they are facility managers only and lay out what to expect. except this time. thats unacceptable. and my last time staying there.
Excellent Location. Hallway had a unique odor the apartment itself had cheap furniture. Very minimal amenities, no paper towels and no extra toilet paper. Futon is not the best for sleeping. The cleanliness of the apartment was not what I would expect of an apartment.
