This review is for the owner, Anna, not the B&B as we ended up not staying there. The private room was double-booked when we arrived, so we had the option of staying in a dorm the 1st night then moving to the private room the 2nd night, or stay at her other property, Dream Hill for a private room. We originally booked Santhika for its location, walkable for us to the center of town, however chose Dream Hill for privacy. After a delicious welcome drink, fruit plate, and homemade biscuits, she personally drove us to Dream Hill so we could see the room before deciding if we wanted to stay. She even offered to drive us back and forth to the center of Lovina during our stay. The room was beautiful with an outdoor shower and incredibly creative design and architecture. There was a bar at the very top of the hill with stunning views of Lovina. Anna then let us know that another room option was available for us as she heard back from a family relative about his property for the same price. We moved to Lovina Palace hotel, got our private room, and were in prime central location to walk a couple minutes to the beach and restaurants/bars/live music in the area. She gave us a mini car tour of the town and ensured we were happy with the room before leaving. Received another welcome drink and fruit plate. We loved the location and hotel so much we ended up extending our stay an extra night! 5-star exceptional customer service for Anna! Thank you!
My boyfriend and I stayed at Santhika for 4 nights and then ended up extending one more night because we really liked Lovina and Santhika. The property is very calming as soon as you enter. Garden atmosphere with a funny talking bird, a nice little pool, and lounge areas everywhere that are clean and comfy. We also got massages and facials that were very nice. The food is good and a lot of healthy choices.. and breakfast included in the stay with many options. We stayed in the mixed dormitory and it was very quiet and clean for a hostel. I recommend participating in the BBQs they do- great food. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at Santhika B&B for three nights and when we got there it already felt like arriving in a small Balinese paradise!
Very welcoming staff, a wonderful atmosphere and a colourful blend of tropical plants and traditional "interior" design.
We got a welcoming drink and fruit platter, as well as a free foot massage.
You can get free coffee and tea whenever you want, the food is tasty, rich and healthy. Booking a cooking class is a good idea to learn how the delicious Indonesian and Balinese food is made!
We stayed in one of the cozy cabins with a double bed with mosquito net and a separate bathroom with really no reason to complain!
In the public area you can get to know your fellow travellers or just hang out in the small pool or the comfy lounges and enjoy the atmosphere.
Santhika B&B offers all you need and more, if you're open minded and ready to dive into Bali's culture and hospitality!
We didn't have the chance to meet the owner of the place, since they were on holiday, but even so everything was to our complete satisfaction!
If we ever come back to north Bali, we will definitely book Santhika again!
