Appartment was ok. There was less furniture than what you see on the pictures. Only one sofa, and the oven does not work.Location is very good, very quiet area, 2 blocks from the beach, and near the Poblenou rambla. This part of Barcelona (Pobrenou) is however very well knowed for it's bad smell coming out of the sewer system during the hot days of the summer. And we noticed that right away at our arrival. Every day, constant bad smell, but the intensity depends on the wind direction.WARNING: Be aware to always lock properly the appartement door, even when you are in the appartement. There is someone in this building who is constantly coming to try to open the door hopping it was left unlocked ...and one time we left and somehow improperly locked the door and we had money stollen in the appartement. I have tried to identify the person, but was not able to. He is very fast.
The apartment had a mildewy smell and a lot of flies, despite the bins being empty. The bathroom was not cleaned to satisfaction - e.g. there were (beard?) hairs on the bidet cover. Other than that, it is well located, having supermarkets nearby and a only a five minute walk to the beach. Weird amount of mirrors everywhere inside but that's not a big deal, just odd lol.
The apartment was a clean and neat 1 bedroom. All basics were provided. There was a cute balcony for coffee in the morning. The best part was the location. Short walk to beach. There were lots of cafes and restaurants within a few blocks.
We have been so excited about our Spain trip! This was the first time I was able to take all three of my adult children on a European vacation. Communication was confusing because it was a third party asking me for financial and passport information. They were very delayed in responding. Once we did arrive back the first night to sleep, the âsecond bedâ pull out couch was only a single and not double. I called and texted with no answer. When she finally did answer she asked us to take a picture to prove it. And then still said it was big enough for 4 people. Then, on the FINAL day we were there (day 4), she told us we did it wrong and needed to fold it out differently. SoâŠmy son slept on the floor the entire trip and they refused to give us any refund still. The location is great but not worth the body aches of sleeping on a floor nor the poor communication.
