Book Cheap Hotels in Bisonó

"I took a solo vacation to Senator Puerto Plata and enjoyed the hotel, beach and gorgeous scenery and views. The Jr Garden Suite in Building 12 is dated but was clean, had great air conditioning, hot water, a comfortable bed and a patio facing palm trees. The resort isn't massive...easily walkable. The beach was free of sargassum with lovely sand and fresh breeze. Tons of chairs available. Beach vendors selling photos and offering hair braids are frequent but a simple "no, gracias" does the trick. The pool area is divided into 2 pools and one has a swim up bar. Get your towels early! Plenty of options for food at the main buffet or sports bar or snack bar. I found the buffet to have good selection of meat and fish and vegetables. Nice cakes for dessert. The staff work hard in the buffet. There's a cute little street that has shops selling souvenirs, rum, cigars, jewelery, etc...there's also a pizza place, ice cream and coffee shop where you can eat/drink for free. The resort has a show nightly. There are good areas for quiet and activities depending on your taste. Don't miss taking the walking trail up the hill to the viewpoint. From there you can see the whole resortnand coast and the bay on the other side where cruise ships dock. The sunset is beautiful. A great stay and I would definitely return!"
