I thought I had booked an ensuite room, but was checked into a shared bathroom room that seemed to have a reasonably high risk for unlucky things to happen! Luckily, the staff were able to change my room, and the new room felt safer and more secure. However I booked an alternative place for the remainder of my stay in Cairns. The Bohemia had easy access to public transport, and a few walkable eating options nearby. It was very reasonably priced, and had locked front gate entry. For someone on a budget and only staying a night, then it's a good option.

Small shower which kept setting smoke alarm off, very limited car parking, could hear everything upstairs was doing, nearby people smoking was coming into our room, its advertised as fast free wifi, their tv doesnt connect to the wifi either could our devices, tv lost signal. Beds were ok, only gave new towels once. Stayed there 5 nights. Not many power points or a lamp. Broken fixtures. Shower presure was good.

Nice place for the price, but overnight with aircon on everything was wet from condensation. Also the spouting had big holes in it so in torrential rain we got wet every time we left our room

Room was clean but floor was slippery due to moisture and/or detergent residue. Toilets and showers are what you’d expect at a caravan park. Probably time for a repaint or refresh of many parts of the building. It’s comparable to what you might get in SE Asia. Ok for a night waiting for a flight.

It is a hostel and it isn't advertised as such. It is shared bathrooms in a hallway. The bedding is sketchy. In order to get the bathroom pictured, you have to pay extra at the counter. The doors didn't work to get in and out with the censor. No one tells you how to work it. The AC was super loud. It is not walking distance to most things. The neighborhood was a bit scary as well. Would not recommend

The room felt neglected, there was no welcoming from staff or to show me where my room or facilities were. My microwave was broken. The amenities were filthy slippery and wet. I also did not get a good night's rest due to doors in the hallway slamming and people having conversations just outside my room door which kept me up most of the night.
