Very Good

Location was great, a short walk to restaurants/pubs/cafes. The room was clean and comfortable, value was good, although the property could use a minor refresh (more lighting in the bathroom for example).

Our 1st stop on our road trip.

This is an older property but has everything you need. We chose this property as it had an open air, secure car park. This was very helpful since we were driving a high roof campervan. The staff are the stars of the property and are so welcoming & accommodating. Rooms were well appointed, conformable and clean.

Quiet hotel to return to.

Quiet street, nice neighbourhood easy walking distance to CBD. Large lovely rooms with balconies. Great staff. Secure off-street parking. Local owned. Milk in fridge replenished. Beautiful Papuan art.

Check in was easy with good secure gated free parking to the rear of the hotel. Our room in the second floor was a decent size, however, unlike most of the others it didnt have a balcony. We did ask to move and they replied that the hotel was full. I'm not sure about that as we only saw a few other guests and the balconies didnt look in use. Having travelled half way around the world this was disappointing. On the other hand the bed was large and comfortable. The room has a small fridge, iron, ironing board, kettle with tea and coffee making facilites and a tv. The shower was a good size, but it is fortunate that neither of us are tall people as the shower head is very low! The hotel is within a 5 minute walk to the esplanade and about 15 to the main shopping areas etc. Very central, quiet and safe. The pool area is tiny with 2 sunbeds but still a nice adittion.

The room was fine for a one night stay. It was quite far from the centre of town and we weren't sure how safe the area was. It was adequate to go to the airport early the mext day.
