Nice Hotel but very very far from town.

Pros: very local place
Cons: staff, breakfast, transportation
Location: very very far from town
far from the town. It was told me that there was a shuttle but never found it. Staff barely can speak english. There is a farm aside the place with roosters making noise in the middle of the night, I spent 3 nights without sleeping. When I complained about this to the staff I just received a sorry cant do anything...

Paradise

My wife and I recently stayed at this property and we loved every moment of our stay. Our room looked out on the Ping River. The staff was amazing. They helped us plan our daily tours. There knowledge pointed us to the right trips and this made our trip that much better. The room was clean and nicely appointed. Breakfeast was included. They have a lovely dinner area that sits along side the Ping river as well. A water taxi and a regular taxi was provided daily to take into the center of town. I would recommend this property to anyone that wants to stay in a peaceful and serene setting. We would definetly stay at this property again. Thank you all for making this portion of our trip fanstastic.

Great Hotel

Lanna Mantra in Chiang Mai was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff was able to help us plan out what to do during our 5 day stay in beautiful Chiang Mai. The room price even includes breakfast and a pick up or drop off to airport. The rooms were quite large and clean. The room rate included bottled water. This hotel is great for the price. Me and my husband are seasoned travelers and we both thought this hotel was good. It is not located in the center of everything but a quick 10-15 min ride on a tuk tuk takes care of it. They even provide a free daily shuttle service to the Night Market. In addition they provide a morning boat ride to the city. The boat ride is very nice. You get to see the surroundings on a boat which gives you a different perspective of the city. With these 2 shuttle/boat services you save on having to pay a taxi or tuk tuk. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Lanna Mantra Chiang Mai

This small hotel is family run and benefits from the personal touch. Reception staff were knowledgable and helpfull. The Hotel is next to the River . The rooms are tradition and clean, with all the facilities such as a small safe. Good small restaurant, fascinate pool and lovely garden. Excellent value for money.

Home away from home

The Lanna Mantra Hotel was a refreshing contrast to the large luxury highrise hotel we took in Bangkok. Located just out of the city centre (around 10 mins by car)and adjoin to the Ping River, the Lanna Mantra Hotel is a quiet oasis. A boutique style hotel, the setting is tranquil, with a nice property walled in from the street. Lush gardens and pool area locate next to Ping river. Rooms are simple, but well appointed which is a quaint and traditional style bedroom and bathroom. They staff are wonderful who will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable in a lush and cozy setting. Add cheap and wonderful food and drinks, a complimentary shuttle van to city, shuttle boat to warolod market also airport pick up and free internet and I don't know what's not to like!

Hidden Gem in Chiang Mai

We stayed here for 5 days during April, coinciding with Sungkran. We had read so many excellent reviews on this site and had high hopes. We were not disappointed. The hotel as other travellers have stated is about 10 minutes tuk tuk ride from the centre of Chiang Mai. The hotel is a little way out of town, but the hotel has a very useful free shuttle service at 10 and 5 each day and also a boat service in the mornings down the Ping River down to the town. And coming back is just a 10 minute tuk tuk ride. There is an infinity pool at the back of the hotel looking at the river Ping and while is not very long, it is really nice. There are also three exercises machines if you feel like working out. There is also a very small bar for refreshments.The hotels is traditional Thai Style and the room is very beautiful. Very highly recommended!

I love Lanna Mantra

What a worthy hotel ! The room rate is so cheap but the room is just exactly like 5 stars hotel, there are also planty of complimentary service they provided!!! The restaurant served tasty dishes with a very very cheap price. I never gone out for any restaurants. Outdoor swimming pool is a legend for me. Ping River View is in the front. I love this hotel and I always will!!!!

Riverside Tranquility

This hotel is simply lovely.It locate on the river in a beautiful setting away from the noisy and crowded downtown area. Rooms are exquisite The staff welcomed our family, were very attentive to our young children and even surprised my husband with a birthday cake! . The breakfast offering is ok and the restaurant is limited.
