Me and my wife stayed here for a week and based on our other experiences in Cancun, this experience was nothing to write home about. Restaurant staff were not friendly, not many activities and the price you pay for what you get, it’s not worth the money. I would not stay at this resort again! I will Say the most helpful person during our stay was Mary and she was the tour/excursion representative in the front lobby.

Great experience

From the begining to the end the staff was always there to help us. Love the food, the pools, and the shows. We did not wanted to come back.

This was our first trip to Cancun, and I can't say enough about our stay at the Pyramid at the Grand Oasis. From check in to check out it was fabulous. When we arrived at the hotel, we went directly to check-in, and in less then 5 minutes we had our room key and off we were. We had been upgraded to an oceanview room and can't say enough about it. The room was clean with all the amenities promised. The one and ONLY negative was that our refrigerator did not work and even after contacting management 3 times it was never fixed. After dropping our luggage off in the room we were off to explore the resort. The pool area was clean with enough poolside chairs for everyone. The beach (and I'm not a beach person) was beautiful. White sand and turquoise water.....not something we have in NJ. There was a lot of seaweed but that didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves. Again, enough lounge chairs for everyone. The staff was very friendly and helpful, most speaking English. As for the food: very good and plentiful. The drinks: VERY good. The show at the Red Circus was great. Esdras- our waiter was fabulous and added entertainment to our meal aside from the show. Angel and Gabriel at Careyes were excellent as well. I will definitely recommend the Pyramid at the Grand Oasis and would definitely stay there again!! Thank you for a great vacation!!

Nice pool and beach, hotel not so much

Pros: The beach was the best part of the hotel.
Cons: Quality of food, and hours of when bars/restaurants will be open. Always have to reference a guide which isn't 100% accurate.
Stayed for 6 nights recently, and while the hotel itself is beautiful inside and out, especially the lobby area, the fact that all the rooms are facing into it makes for a very stressful stay. If you are trying to take a midday nap, or even thinking you'll be able to sleep in a quiet room at 3am, you can forget about it. There is people screaming at all hours of the night in the large common lobby and it echos into every room. The rooms themselves are small, we had 2 double beds that were pushed side by side and very little room to maneuver around the room. The cleaning staff can stop by anytime from 8am to 8pm, good luck trying to find out when, and when you want to just exchange towels, it is always a hassle to chase someone down. The restaurants we visited were ok at best (but keep in mind we did not visit the 3 that require a reservation). Even the other restaurants usually had a wait and can only fit so many people. Most of the staff gave off a vibe as they did not want to be there, making us feel uncomfortable at times for asking questions. The pool itself is nice, with plenty of room to spread your things out, but for so many people that are staying at the hotel a few additional outside bars would be nice as you feel you are waiting for a drink at a nightclub with how long it can take. The beach was the best part of the hotel, as you have plenty of room to not feel crowded in, and the water is crystal clear and a sight to see. Not for families.

Resort with beautiful beach.

Our stay was unforgettable. We enjoyed the accommodations, the food and the nightly entertainment. The daytime activities were nice too, especially the Zumba.
