Nice, clean rooms great views wonderful staff. The buffet is definitely lacking. In my opinion I’ve seen it do better. The food is the main complaint. Also, the hamburgers are cold at the poolside and the french fries are nonexistent. They never cook them I ask and they say 15 or 20 minutes and I come back and they say 15 or 20 minutes and they never have any And that’s just the basic. They don’t have any towels most of the time either.

Our room smelled terrible! Very dank and musty. The crew were spray painting every day and the fumes went straight to our room. We had to sleep with the balcony door open.

First of all I have been to this property 9 times since 2012.. let me just say I don’t plan on returning. The staff is amazing, but there has been a huge shift. They definitely don’t care for Americans the way they used too! It’s obvious.. the time share sharks who never left me alone in past years, didn’t even look my husband and my way. They were all over the Mexican clients tho! Food: horrible my husband has a fish allergy and the buffet mixes the fish next to the beef so there is no way to know that it’s not cross contamination from spoons or kids. And there is so much fish, very little other options. Adult pool was amazing, in need of repair like most of the place. They have really let the place go down hill unfortunately. I used to love this place now it’s the dive bar I would go too just because the drinks are cheep!

The resort is good contrary to the reviews. The staff is very helpful. Oscar is very good at his job ; ask for him at the check-in. The bar staff was very nice and polite, they’d go above and beyond to accommodate your request - Luis and Melchor at the Lobby bar. We stayed for a week and some reviews said that the food is always the same at the buffet but we were greeted with different themes each night - Continental, Mexican, international, Taco night etc. Shoutout to Hector, Leon and David at the buffet and the adult lounge at the top floor. My partner loved the Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant. The Italian restaurant (La Piazza) also has a good vibe but do not order the tiramisu ; it’s not the same as in North America. The housekeeping staff is also amazing. Whenever we left the room, we came back to a nice made up bed and towels refilled in the bathroom. We got a room with the Jacuzzi and it was amazing. Also note that the water in the Jacuzzi takes sometime to fill up. Please note that the staff is not very good at English but they’re trying their best. Also, if you’re travelling here, please bring your own toiletries because they only provide a soap and shampoo. There is no conditioner. Better to travel with your own. Overall a decent place to stay. Would definitely recommend.
