We had an amazing time at Riu adults only. The rooms and bathrooms are not really new but they are clean. All rooms have ocean view. Hard liquor, beers and sodas available in the rooms. The buffet has many options, huge seating area, never a wait for a teble. There is something for everyone. They don't change it a lot daily but it is still enough to choose from. There are some other restaurants available for dinner. We went to 2 only, they were good, we don't eat meat so I can't say much for the dishes. Few pools. I believe only one was heated. You can choose the pary pool or the relax pool. Their beach is small but the water was nice, no big waves like on the gulf side. They organize day and night pool parties at another hotel, also free of charge and transportation included. I am looking forward to visiting this resort again.

The stay was very comfortable. The beach access is excellent. The pools are very well managed. Only request for them as a vegetarian, the options are few and even those have sub-optimal taste. While other resorts provide wide variety (Thai, Chinese or Indian or middle eastern options), it is lacked for travelers like us. We lived just on those pizza and fruits. It is a meat eater paradise.

The staff were very friendly, fun, and helpful. The resort had lots of engaging activities to participate in throughout the time I was there. The room was clean and the ocean view was amazing. The bedding is only sheets so I would ask for a blanket. The food was good but was mostly generic buffet food. I would have rated 5 stars if there were more authentic Mexican food choices. The beach was sooo pretty during this time (early January). The water was clear and the waves were great. However when it rained some seaweed did wash up but it was minimal. There are large rocks on the beach to be careful of, however. Overall I had an amazing time and I will be back!

The staff were excellent! The food needs a lot of work though to be honest. The room was okay but the outlet by the bed wouldn’t hold my charger in it and it kept coming out. The safe was broken but maintenance came right away and fixed it! The view from my room was amazing!! Other than the food being bland and the plug by my bed we enjoyed ourselves. Did I mention the staff was great?!!! 😊

I had one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and I would never recommend this property to anyone. During my stay, I accidentally left a personal bag unattended. Within just a few minutes, it was gone and later found at the front desk. When I went to retrieve it, a front desk employee told me that a “friend” had dropped it off for me, which was completely untrue. When I opened the bag, all of my cash was gone. When I tried to report this, the same front desk worker who mentioned the “friend” kept avoiding eye contact with us instead of taking the situation seriously. We asked to see security camera footage and speak with security. The front desk staff and a safety/security guard went into a private room to review, but afterward we were simply told they “couldn’t do anything” and that we were on our own. They offered no reassurance, no real investigation, and no effort to help recover what was stolen. After that, we felt extremely uncomfortable and watched by the employees. Several staff members were wearing earpieces, and whenever we walked through the lobby or common areas, they would quietly speak into them and look at us. It felt like they were signaling to each other, making the entire situation even more unsettling and unprofessional. On top of the security issues, our room had problems. The electricity did not work properly, and the hot tub was not hot at all — it was basically a cold tub. Do not recommend
