This property was average. I would not stay here again. Food was not good, it was hard or without flavor. Drinks were watered down. I got the all inclusive and was told several times that some items were not included in the all inclusive. Employees had terrible attitudes, only 1 employee was very polite and helpful, shout out to nacho who helped us book an activity and find our way around the hotel because front desk did not even do that.

We love going to the Royal Sands, however did notice a BIG decline in the food and the service this year. Took up to an hour for drinks at poolside which was never the case before. Hopefully this is only a temporary issue due to the transition of new ownership and not a new standard.

The Royal Sands is Awesomeness!!!!!!!!!!!!Let me just say this resort is wonderful. We checked in and checked out this resort with Octavio. He is so sweet very pleasant disposition. The vacation started off nice because of him. Next we received a room call from Erick T.R.his customer service is exemplary. I was just so happy to come in contact with him. He is wonderful person. He made a reservation for the Hacienda Sisal Restaurant for my husband's birthday. Jesus and Peter was wonderful and very accommodating.. My husband had a wonderful birthday dinner and singing surprise for his birthday. Well done everyone!!!! I'm so thankful. Outstanding job Erick helping us navigate the resort, getting on transportation making the most out of our vacation. Hector booked our Jungle excursion on the speedboat. That was what my husband always wanted to do and thanks for making it happen. If anyone is reading this review and trying to decide what resort I should go to, The Royal Sands is the ONE!! Its clean, the employees are nice their customer service is unforgettable. This is a family resort too. We most definitely want to bring our children back.

We loved this property as it gave great access to the beach and had two big pools which were never overcrowded. The staff was very friendly too. However, the staff were a little slow. They do not give you your check until you ask for it even when all plates and glasses are cleared. On the beach or at the pool, you had to get a servers attention to take a drink order instead of them coming to you. Otherwise it was awesome!
