My family and I spent 5 days at Hotel Riu Caribe. It was spectacular experience. They have about four (4) restaurants and a buffet hall (Coral) with various dishes from Mexican to English, Asian and American. I enjoyed the Steakhouse and Asian restaurant the most - their Sushi was lovely. The staff at Riu were so helpful and eager to help. They understood their responsibilities and worked as a team. Other facilities at the Hotel includes Currency Exchange, 4 swimming pools including kids pool and an adult only pool, beach front with several water sports, table tennis, snooker board, Calypso show hall, etc. Only drawback is that we expected white towels in our bathroom. Brown towels don’t often appear neat or feel fresh especially since they’re general towels. We complained, got replacement towels, but they were still brown. Not sure if this was general policy at the hotel or just our room. But hey, I recommend this hotel for any guest traveling to Cancun.

If you are coming to Cancun to party, this is the place. Although this resort has theme parties it didn’t take away from relaxing. There aren’t many activities or shows. If there is I wasn’t aware. I feel they can help the guest by giving a daily breakdown of things to do, maybe in the lobby, posted in the elevators or a resort channel on the television. I feel the food options could be better. The resort staff was pleasant and the rooms were clean daily!

The property was aweome as always. The buffet is always stocked beautifully. Drinks always ready but not strong (always order a shot with tour drink) if you take a taxi to the local shopping area, expect to pay around $23 there and $ $23 back (at least $50) or take a $1 bus ride (non air conditioning) there and back. Other than that, we thoughly enjoyed the property and all its offerings. Worth the reservation!!!!!
