Sunset Hills Condominium Community is nestled on the side of a mountain facing the ocean.
The oxygen rich environment produces lush greenery, exotic fruits and is very refreshing. Playa Del COCO is know for its element rich sand, rejuvenating ocean water and fresh air. This valley is filled with vitamin and mineral rich fruits and vegetables that are easily obtained at the markets. It is a luxurious private gated community with security. This is a relaxed atmosphere neighborhood with multiple full time residents. You can fully relax in our community during your stay. We are located close town that has many attractions, beach front cafes, restaurants, bars, a local shopping courtyard.
We can help arrange Private Fishing Tours, Explore the coastline boating tours and more. We are close to LIR Liberia Airport, the ocean and Mountain top hot springs and so multiple other destinations. Our staff will be happy to help you directly with any questions or guidance. Get ready to have the experience of a lifetime and to enjoy our piece of paradise on the coastline of Costa Rica!
Guests have access to the entire community. This includes multiple walking paths, lounging stations with loungers, six pools with jacuzzis and showers, private water well with the drinkable water and their personal two level home with patios. Your condo has two separate rooms, 1.5 bathrooms and a large spacious living room and kitchen.
This condo comes with three patios on all floors where you can relax, eat, read or just enjoy the view and fresh air.
The apartment includes four beds:
- Master bedroom: queen size bed.
- Second bedroom: two twin size beds.
- First floor (living room): sofa bed twin size.
Guests have close access and a path for walking to town, the beach and supermarkets. If you do have a personal vehicle we also provide a private parking spot with security.
If you have booking for a long term in any season ,WEEKLY cleaning of the apartment for FREE.
DEAR GUESTS, PLEASE NOTE!
Since Costa Rica is such an economically "Green Energy" conscious country, in order to minimize and conserve energy consumption, PLEASE turn off all lights and air conditioning units when you not in the Condo.Also, the weather is hot here and can be overheating of electrical appliances. Our condo is equipped everything necessary for a comfortable stay.
We provide kitchen utensils, furniture , cutlery, bed linen, towels, personal hygiene products , cleaning products etc. We purchase what is available locally and make sure our products meet all requirements and quality standards of Costa Rica. We hope you understand that we try to provide the best quality, but standards in Costa Rica may differ from the country where you live. We ask that you please understand this difference and take it into your account when you write the review. You are welcome to bring your personal hygiene items and dietary items which you are accustomed too.
We very carefully monitor the condition of electrical appliances and equipment in our apartments. This is especially true for A/C and fans in hot climate; revision, cleaning, professional maintenance, etc. is carried out weekly. Unfortunately, local providers do not always provide detailed operating instructions for some electrical appliances and upon check-in we always ask our guests to immediately report any difficulties in use to avoid inconvenience. We are always in touch and happy to help our guests at any time of the day.

The unit was in great shape and fully stocked with everything you could need. It was very clean as well. Both bedrooms have views of the ocean. The property is also well maintained with good parking and the pools are also in good repair. I would definitely stay there again. Worth special mention is the property manager, Ilya. He was the best vacation rental manager I have met. He communicated very well - responsive, courteous, honest, and had a lot of information about local sites and activities,

This is a clean and safe location with stunning views. The beds were very comfortable and ac worked great. We even had a washer and dryer in our unit and a full stocked kitchen. Next time we will stay longer. They made check in and check out so easy. We loved it

Great Condo!

Great Condo in Coco just minutes from the beach. The property was very clean and in a gated community. There are tons of easily accessible pools right near the condo. The condo itself was clean and cool. The washer/dryer in unit was huge at the end of our trip. Ilya was super kind and very communicative.

Ilya is the best host ever! He can help with everything but is respectful and Allie’s you to enjoy his beautiful apartment. The place has everything you would want and the views are spectacular! Great condo

Ilya was the best host we've ever had. He helped me locate places we wanted to visit throughout our stay. He had a cleaning person come to do laundry and clean half way through our 12 day stay at no extra charge! The condo was very clean and the beds and couches comfortable. The only thing that could have made our stay more comfortable was good beach chairs and possibly chaises or zero gravity chairs on the balconies.

Great host! Just make sure you have google maps for navigation, that was the hardest! Other than that very accurate to pictures, clean, great host, clean pools, kitchen equipped, air conditioner, internet was inconsistent but I think that’s Costa Rica in general

Comfortable Stay

The condo was close to the beach and could be walked quite easily. It is located on the north side of Coco where the Pacifico Beach Club, Mar Azul Restaurant, and Java Coffee are located. All highly recommended. The host was very attentive and responded to a couple of issues very quickly. There are many pools which added to the experience.

Coco Beach

very clean place pictures are accurate. owner checks in by text a couple times to ensure all is good . great personal tour of property given by owner . nice place ! written description needs to be corrected as it states 3 level and your own roof top patio. i was looking forward to this the most but the unit does not have one . a couple of pools need alot of tiles replaced . water pressure is lower than what we were used too.

Beautiful Views

Property grounds and location were absolutely stunning. We loved the view from the room! The apartment was extremely clean, and Ilya was a fantastic host, very attentive. Minor negatives: The wood throughout the apartment had a strange greasy slick to it, most likely from whatever cleaning product or wood preservative used. The towels and sheets were heavily dosed with fabric softener when washed, so they had an almost sticky texture. However, some people love fabric softener, so, to each their own. There was construction going on our entire stay, however the grounds and host were so kind and offered a future discounted stay due to the disturbance. Positives: we had a very sweet cat come visit us everyday. Sunrises and sunsets were to die for. Safe and beautiful grounds. Just close enough to town, yet still perfectly far away to enjoy the peace. WOULD RECOMMEND!!!

The most wonderful hosts ever

We loved our stay in coco beach. We had a couple issues not related to our stay in the condo that required us to visit the OIJ in Liberia. The hosts of the condo were so sweet and accommodating and offered to accompany us to Liberia to provide translation for since we’re not fluent in Spanish. They gave great advice and were so helpful and supportive. On top of that, the condo was a beautiful place to stay with amazing ocean views in 2 levels. Definitely stay at this place!!!!!!!!! The views can’t be beat. The hosts represent the best of Costa Rica, and the location is perfect for experiencing all the beauty of Playas del Coco. You will be right in the center of everything and have everything provided for you in your condo while having gated 24hour security to keep you safe. We ended up buying our own place in Costa Rica and this condo is everything any person would want/need for their visit. The pools especially make it worth the the stay. Ignore all other listings. Book this condo today!!!!

Perfect stay in Paradise

Such an amazing experience staying in Coco. The condo is spacious, peaceful, safe, air conditions, within walking distance to coffee, a small grocery store, delicious restaurants and the beach. The beach was amazing, only about 3-5 minutes away. It was peaceful with gentle waves. The host Ilya was so accommodating. He greeted us and showed us around the gated complex and provided us so much information on the area around. He recommended an amazing seafood restaurant in walking distance. The pools were super nice. After returning from the beach we rinsed off at the pool shower and jumped in. The condo has beach gear and a nice kitchen and like new washing machine and dryer. We were able to call Ilya when we needed something and he was there to help. I can go on an on about the condo, the complex, and the beach. I had an amazing time. Pure Vida. Probably the only feedback I have is the fire alarm is to close to the stove because it kept going off when we cooked but that’s about the only negative. I hope we can go visit again some day soon.

As previous reviewers have noted, Ilya is a fantastic host! He was extremely helpful before our arrival and during our stay. He went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed but was never intrusive at all. The condo is very comfortable and has one of the best views in the entire complex! The place was spotless when we arrived, and Ilya took the time to show us around and point out where to find things (pools, garbage disposal, etc.). The only two things we really wished we had were a propane barbecue at our unit (but there is a charcoal grill that is shared) and room darkening curtains in the bedrooms. Neither of those things kept us from enjoying the place though. Everyone we met on site, whether residents or vacationers, was extremely friendly. As for the area, we liked the quiet neighbourhood and we were still able to walk to the beach in about 10 minutes, and to the grocery stores and restaurants in about 20 minutes. Coco Beach is very big and had large waves during the almost three weeks that we were there - we had fun playing in the waves and boogie boarding. It's not good for snorkeling but we took a taxi to nearby Ocotal Beach a couple of times and were able to snorkel there. Of course you can easily book a guided snorkel tour if you want to, and there are many other options for excursions too. If you're considering staying in this area you can't go wrong with this unit, and with Ilya as host.
