Fantastic property! The pictures don't do it justice. Lots of nice decorative touches and thoughtful inclusions, like extension cords on both sides of the bed. The views here are phenomenal. Definitely worth getting up early for the sunrise! A true gem!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hale De Taos was so so Beautiful. When we all walked in, we couldn't believe how beautiful and just how big the house was... We had more than enough room for all 7 of us. I had never rented a house before, but from here out when I go to Taos I will rent this one... It was super clean, with plenty of towels and plenty of extra blankets for the roll away beds. The Kitchen was fully equipped. Judith was very helpful, anytime I text her to ask her for any information she replied back quickly. I 100 % recommend this house. We went to the Indian Pueblo, which was very close to the house. I give Hale De Taos 5 Stars..

Just okay...

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House and furnishings were nice, but the interior is in need of some repair. Broken areas on some of the walls and stains from what looks like moisture/leak problems. Moiture stains also on some of the blinds. We go for views and while you can see the mountains, most of it is over the top of the neighboring houses. Same for the "sunrise and sunset" views. Had these clearly been seen in the photos, we wold have picked another home in this area. We've stayed at a couple of other rentals within blocks of this home with better overall views. This house was nice enough, we had just expected more for what we spent, compared to the others that we have stayed at. Hot tub area is nice and the night sky views were great from where it is situated. There were lots of flies and wasps/bees in the garage each morning and somehow many made their way into the house. By the way, there is only 1 TV and it's in the living room.

The two roll-a-ways had issues, the springs were missing on one side and mattresses to lumpy There were not enough pillows or extra blankets. There was no air conditioner and two windows would not close due to weather stripping coming off. There were small ants in kitchen- suggestion to spray with windex... a good cleaner and repellent for sugar ants. All in all we had a very good time and the space was nice with flow of the house. Oh and My daughter wasn't able to get into the internet to do her Homework.

The house was perfect for two small families and centrally located to the ski mountain and downtown Taos. We loved the central location of the kitchen and hopping in and out of the hot tub!

The first was two years ago. The house is large and roomy. We love the front yard. It was perfect for our dog. Tile floors were great. There are some things that need attention. Both showers need new shower heads. Both only dribbled at best. The coffee pot was very small. We made do since there was only two of us but a larger group would be making many pots of coffee. The toaster was broken. I would have liked a cozy comfortable chair away from the television to read. Instructions for television would be helpful. The house was spotless. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Quiet and peaceful and could see the stars at night! HUGE house with plenty of room to relax and sleep. Everything you would need in a kitchen - down to salt and pepper and olive oil! Just bring the food. Love that! Clean, warm and just a wonderful adobe house with can hot tub! We will be back!! Thanks to Dave and Melinda who was just great with all our questions.

It is a beautiful house, extremely clean, great landscaping, and had all the amenities that we needed on our vacation. It has a beautiful view of the mountains and is in a nice quiet neighborhood only 5-6 minutes from the Taos Plaza area. Our dogs loved the cool tile floors. The rental process was very easy and professional. I would recommend this house to anyone. It is actually larger than it looks in the pictures. I would also recommend the Taos Fly Shop and their guide service. Overall we had a great time and fantastic accommodations during our stay at Hale de Taos.

It was very dog friendly. It had a great courtyard with green grass. Our dog loved it. The heated tile floors were very welcome on several chilly mornings. We enjoyed the hot tub one evening. The house was furnished very well. It was very clean and well maintained. Everything we needed was provided. We just needed our clothes and toothbrush. We will be back!!

Hale' de Taos--GREAT home base for all excursions!

We made day trips to Red River for "Lunch with a Llama," ATVs, & horse-treks, plus used Los Rios in Taos for an incredible whitewater raft trip and did the day trip on the Chama train. We ate at delightful restaurants in Taos & enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen at Hale'. It's also very close to Taos Mountain & we will return for skiing in the near future. Good for three couples, if 2 sets are "family/ close enough" to share a bathroom.

There were large cracks present, discoloration, and apparent moisture damage. Furniture was worn. The fireplaces that were picture on the website had been modified to woodstove inserts. Reviewer Comments: fix those two things and it would be better, other than that it was a very nice property. those two things might seem small, but as busy as families are and us in particular, having internet so my parents can be connected, i can work, my kids can play is big. The TV is ridiculous go spend 400 bucks and have a reasonably nice TV. For what you guys charged those two things should have been there.
