Beautiful historic hotel with many amenities, located right in the center of Santa Fe so could easily walk to many museums, restaurants, historical venues, many, many shops... Comfortable, reasonably sized room, comfortable beds, robes, and a personal concierge via text! We would highly recommend the La Fonda and would definitely stay there on our next visit to Santa Fe.

Beautifully maintained historical site. The staff were knowledgeable about the artwork, the structure. They seemed genuinely happy to be working there. The maintenance staff was helpful, too- friendly and provided good directions. The hotel was a lovely maze of hallways, as it was designed, we’ll be back.

The "view" was terrible. The room, otherwise was nice but smaller and much different than depicted on the booking site. For the amount paid, it was disappointing.

From start to finish the staff were terrible! At checkin I asked about all of the stores and places on site (this place is huge) and wondered if there was a map or information about what was on site. I was given a disgusted look and provided nothing. The room was loud and we did not sleep well. At checkout I asked about paying cash for the parking fee (the rest of my room was paid) and it turned into the end of the world to meet this request. As I was looking for exact change (because they couldn't accommodate) my husband said the front desk woman was glaring at me and rolling her eyes. The only reason this gets 2 stars is because it was in a good location where we could walk to the historic sites and restaurants - otherwise I do NOT recommend.

The fine dining option on site was my first dinner. Server was asked for a spoon and sweetener for hot tea, never delivered. My guest dropped her knife on floor, requested another, never came she used my butter knife. Food ordered, terrible and cold! However, breakfast there was good.
