Best staff ever. They need to just do simple maintenance like replace two light bulbs in my room. Other than that tiny thing, a safe kind place to stay in Eugene! I even called super late when I had trouble with the door lock- the kind reply was appreciated.

I'd hoped that the hostel merited a higher rating, but I suppose you would need to include the surrounding area. We're working on it.

Great place, with a cool vibe! The neighborhood offers many great food options with a local flair, breweries and wineries too. I'll be back!

Surprise welcome in Eugene

Pros: The cleanliness and color was warm and inviting.
Cons: The other guests in my dorm room had odd hours.
Location: The Wittaker neighborhood was a definite added bonus. Even more color was found in the yards and painted murals nearby.
My Two night stay at the Eugene Hostel was more than I could have asked for. I was in town to visit my son and had no idea it was the same weekend of the annual marathon and also the roller derby tournament of Eugene,drawing so many out of towners that I had to resort to rooming in a dormitory setting. But to my surprise the proprietor, staff, and other guests were so pleasant and hospitable that my stay at the Hostel was a major highlight to my visit this weekend. Thank you All

Definitely something to get hostel about

Really felt welcomed when I arrived. I got in pretty late but that was no issue. They showed me around and had a lot of options to keep myself entertained. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Can't wait for my next visit.
