Our first room was in the basement. Do NOT book these rooms! They were extremely noisy with overhead traffic and clean but run down. However, the staff were vrry professional and polite when we asked to change our room, and did so as soon as one was available. Our second room on the 4th floor was lovely! Book only upper floors.

We were given a room with a fireplace. It set off the smoke detector we could not get the heat to work. After 2 calls to the desk we asked for a new room which we received. Second room was fine

The building was beautiful and appreciated the antiques. Front desk clerk was mediocre told us what time they served breakfast and of the mini bar in our room. When we arrived in our room to find out there was nothing in the fridge not even water. Their breakfast is very plain - walked away on an empty stomach.

The room was absolutely lovely. We appreciated all the character and detail in the design. A little maintenance needs to be done in the room - in the tub - the faucet needs to be repaired bf they have water damage. Plus the heater when it cuts in is very loud. But besides that, the bed is very comfortable. We loved that we could walk to restaurants nearby. It was very nice to have breakfast right in the hotel at the start of the day.

The room was spacious and clean, good getting ready space in the bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was light but good, we really liked having juice every morning. We did have a fireplace in an our room that didn’t work.

The breakfast was good, yummy baked goods each morning, decent coffee and variety of juices. The hotel advertises tea at three. All the staff there said they’d never seen this ever done. We returned at 3 to see and sure enough, no tea. They should take that off their site. But we got a lovely upgrade to fireplace room. The bathrooms are a bit dated and need some TLC but linens were lovely and clean.

staff was courteous and helpful. It’s and old building, so sound proofing is not as great as newer buildings. Keep your expectations on the medium side and you’ll be ok. A few stains on carpet, clean but mold in the bath. Spacious room facing Main Street was still quiet and gas fireplace made stay cozy on the first snow in November. Close to Musée and downtown. Sister hotel across the street - SENS looks newer with less expensive rooms

The room was clean. Without an elevator , the schlep up two flights with a suitcase was unexpected. The included breakfast was minimal but sufficient. The hotel is beginning to show its age. It needs tidying up, repainting, and upgrading. The front office staff were excellent. Always friendly and a pleasure to deal with. The location is great. The valet parking is $40/day but efficient anyway. I’m not sure if the hotel is air conditioning. There as no evidence of it in the room I could see, mind you I didn’t ask about it. Without it staying here in the hot humid summer would be unbearable. All In all, good value for this time of year.
