The breakfast buffet was better than I expected. They changed the menu a bit day after day, but you can expect eggs, potatoes, cereal, waffle makers, juice, oatmeal, sausage, etc. Just a word to get to the buffet early cause it gets busy. The facilities themselves are very well.kept. everywhere is clean. The pool is a bit small, but was still enjoyable. The ROM has a modern feel and looks new. Service overall was great. The hotel is located right at the entrance to Chinatown and is a short walk to the waterfront and old Montreal.

There is a homeless shelter across the street. There are homeless people all around the area. Prostitutes are in front of the building and people are smoking pot in front of the place non stop. The blankets are horrible. I had a bunch of holes in my blankets that they only cover with sheets. Breakfast was not the greatest. The staff were very nice. People were sneaking in the side door to eat breakfast. I feel like the place needs security. The pool is not like the pictures and there is no hot tub. Walking distance to vieux port was great.

The hotel was nice from the inside. No issues with room. View from room was hotel wall. Located in congested area. I will not book this location again. Under ground parking requires guest to pay. Very busy during breakfast time. Good breakfast selection though.

The rooms smell like there is a problem in the vents, very strong smell of burning plastic. Although we were very concerned and uncomfortable with this, there was little to no follow up. We slept with the door propped open in the night with a fan blowing air out of the room. When we did close the door, I woke up with my eyes, nose and throat burning. Please stay away as this could be very unsafe.

Nice stay at Hampton Inn

We were visiting Montreal over the summer of 2025 and this hotel is in the centre of the city, a walking distance off Old Montreal. Rooms and service were great with continental breakfast served. The additional cost of $38 is for the parking.

The hotel is in a great location, with most tourist attractions within walking distance and the train station just a 3-minute walk away. Although the pool is quite small and often crowded, making it difficult to find time to swim, everything else was excellent.

This hotel has a great location - extremely walkable, super easy to explore old Montreal, close to a metro & easy fairly easy highway access if driving. I saw some reviews where reviewers complained about the unhoused population around the area the hotel. This wasn’t a problem for us. We never, ever felt unsafe, and what we saw was typical of any major city such as Toronto, Vancouver etc… and is not something to be concerned about in terms of booking. It may be jarring if you’re from a more rural area, but it really wasn’t unusual for a city of this size. Our stay was…. Fine. But only fine. The rooms were clean & the staff were polite. But honestly? This hotel charges more than some others we looked at - we thought it would be worth it for the amenities such as breakfast included & the rooftop pool area, but no. I’d say book elsewhere for less money & get more bang for your buck. Pool area isn’t nearly as nice as it appears in pictures, not well stocked with towels and only one of the two pools was open. Breakfast was truly, truly poor. The single worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever experienced. Wayyy too over crowded, it was like the hunger games to get a seat, understaffed (the staff working were busting their butts to keep up, but just couldn’t) & the food was just abysmal. Montreal is such an incredible food city - book somewhere cheaper without breakfast & enjoy a croissant or breakfast sandwich at one of many gorgeous cafes instead. We’ll be booking elsewhere next time.
