First off my car was stolen right out of the hotel parking lot right in front of the main door. The staff handled this very poorly. I was also promised that all my parking charges would be removed. I received a rental car and for 2 nights I had to park at the Marriott down the street and pay $10 each night and this was not refunded on my bill. Also, I was promised 10% off per night from the front desk manager and this was not applied to my bill on checkout. I had to argue with the gentlemen behind the desk. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The gate into the parking was purposely left open when my car was stolen which tells me this is an inside job. All the other nights the gate in and out were closed. I will never come back to this property or any Ramada again. I have stayed in many hotels and this is the worst experience I have ever had!

It was my first time at this Ramada but I booked a room because I trusted the brand. It’s in a busy part of Montreal and the building is older. This is all fine except that when I arrived in my room the door lock did not work. It had a plastic swinging door latch instead. I did express that the door lock did not work to reception and they called a handyman who said there was a trick to locking the door and that he would show me. He proceeded to show me how to unlock the door from the outside through the card swipe. I guess he assumed I was an idiot for not figuring out how to get into a basic hotel room. When I expressed that it was the INTERNAL lock that did not work he showed me that if someone was going to get into my room with the key that it wouldn’t stop them anyway and that the plastic swinging door latch was fine. I expressed that this was not ok and requested my room to be switched. I’m pretty easy going, but I do think a door that locks properly is a basic necessity (and ask). What is also unacceptable is that the person helping me (handyman), who treated me like an idiot, made it seem like I was the one with the problem about the door not being able to lock properly. To top it off — the morning after the stay I was checking out when a man (who also stayed at the Ramada) ran in, in a panic, telling reception that his car got stolen from the lot. It might be worth having someone from the Ramada organization do an audit of the building and location.

October 9, 2025. We had booked two rooms and was assigned rooms 519 and 520 for the night. After checking and spending a couple of hours in our rooms, we stepped out at around 8 PM and upon our return remained in the hotel lobby until almost midnight. During this time, our daughter decided to retire to the room ahead of us. Within moments, we received a frantic call from her as she had discovered an unauthorized individual, apparently a homeless woman, asleep on the floor of our room (519). This is a grave security and safety violation. How an unauthorized person was able to access and remain in our private room undetected raises serious concerns about your hotel’s security protocols, key card management, and guest safety measures. My husband and son immediately rushed to our daughter, while I went to the front desk to report the incident. The staff member on duty was alone and did not alert security or a co worker to check on us nor did he prioritize the urgency of the matter until another customer voluntarily gave way. He stated that he would call the police, but only after attending to the other guest. Eventually, the woman left the room and exited the building on her own after being startled by our presence. At our request, we were moved to a different set of rooms. However, I explicitly requested that a formal police report be filed, and I left my number with the front desk for follow-up. I was told I would be contacted when the police arrived—but I received no call.
