We are truly heartbroken on how unfriendly, disconnected, and unempathetic the staff has been. We booked a vacation for our family of 5 to explore a city that we researched together and learned the language of. Incredibly unexpectedly my mother in law needed heart surgery. We called the hotel after settling the details of what she needed and they didn’t miss a breath in saying we would loose all of our money for the hotel. Full discretion- we did not get insurance or a refundable rate because this incident was beyond our conception. The hotel staff quickly dismissed me, and refused to talk further about the situation. I reached out to Expedia who was kind and compassionate for our situation. They took thorough time trying to argue with the hotel on our behalf and they would not budge. Human compassion is important, more so than an overpriced hotel making extra money. I would not recommend anyone stay at a hotel where the consideration for daily needs will not be met.
