Never Returning Here Again
Pros:The view of the river/arches/etc. was the only nice thing about this hotel.
Cons:Better beds and bedding. Fix the placement of the nozzle in the showers and remove the glass and just put in a shower curtain. Better service.
Location:Far from a lot of the main attractions except the Uffizi.
When we walked into the lobby of the hotel, we were expecting something amazing. Everything looked exactly like the photos. Once we entered the room, that's when things went wrong. The inner curtain was stained. The balcony we had overlooking the river was nice, but you can hear all of the traffic quite well at all times of the night which wasn't great. As if it wasn't difficult enough to sleep with the noise, the bed was HORRIBLE. It was rock hard and with no exaggeration, it was like sleeping on the floor, but worse. The shower was also an issue. Be sure to ask for A LOT of extra towels. The shower leaks all over the bathroom floor and it becomes a giant puddle. The shower is also extremely small and tough to even get clean in. I had to shower sideways since the tub was very narrow and the tub nozzle sticks out where you need to stand. The worst part of all was the service. We asked for a wine opener for a bottle that we bought and they told us that we had to bring the bottle down to them to open it. We had to tell them it was our honeymoon just to get them to come up. This sadly wasn't a lie and was a a big let down for our trip. They told us they were going to do something special for us when we checked in, but they never did anything. Very big disappointment and I would urge you to look elsewhere. The location also was quite far from where you want to be(Mercato Centrale/Accadamia/etc.).
