We had a great stay, a good size apartment with everything that u might need. Great area, close to all points of interest. Plenty of shops around, very close to Uffizi and Duomo . We liked our stay and definitely would stay there again.
Very nice place to stay. Conveniently located closed to the train station. Within walkable distance to major attractions. Plenty of shopping dining options nearby. The Sabatini restaurant next door has great food and service. The apartment is nicely remodeled with all the modern amenities and is comfortable to stay in after a day of activities in this charming city.
The apartment was tidy with fresh linens and ample amount of towels. Well stocked kitchen as far as plates, silverware and cooking utensils. It was on the second floor so you may want to pack lighter unless you donât mind carrying a large suitcase up stairs. The location is great, close to the train station, many restaurants, grocery store and historical places to see. It was perfect for our family of five.
Nice, no frills apartment. Well licatied close to the station 5mins) and major tourist attractions. One minor thing, we booked the apartment because it said it included a washing machine (this was the middle stay of a longer trip with kids). But, upon checking in, the hosts representative said there was no washing machine and one was not obvious. As a result, we spent 50 euros in a launderette, only to find out (by accident as we left the apartment) that there IS a washing machine in a secret cupboard by the front door. Maybe the checknin host was new, but, it would have been good to have accurate information.
My family and I recently stayed at âThe Romantic Novellaâ in Florence, and it was the low point of our vacation. We had high hopes for a cozy stay, but instead found a low-rent experience.
From the start, a strong sewer gas smell in the entryway was alarming. The keys for both the main entry and apartment door were frustratingly unreliable. The sleeping arrangements were particularly deceptive: the photos made the beds look like queen-sized, but they were actually two cots pushed together, providing little comfort. The thin walls allowed us to hear everything from neighbors arguing to a barking dog. We had to open the windows for air circulation, which let in mosquitoes that left my son covered in bites.
To add to our woes, we found visible water damage in the living room, with staining and falling plaster. Amenities were scarce: just one set of towels per person for a four-night stay, with no complimentary water or coffee. A recurring noise from the closet disrupted our sleep, and a glaring hallway light shone directly into our bedroom.
After just two nights, we had to find new accommodations for the last days of our trip. The Romantic Novella was a significant disappointment, and I hope this feedback prompts management to make necessary improvements. Save yourself the troubleâlook elsewhere when booking your stay in Florence.
