We happened to be there the weekend of the horrible flooding of the Guadalupe River and deaths of so many people. Hampton Inn was a welcoming place to be.

Room was clean and comfy. Staff was wonderful. I had a little mishap opening the refrigerator and broke and rip off a finger nail. Messaged for bandages as I didn’t have any. Bandages were delivered to my door. That is customer service.

The hotel website said that pets were allowed, and they held themselves out to be pet friendly. I was dismayed when I checked in to learn that there was an additional charge of $75.00 for a pet. Hotels.com should make that known, in quoting the price of a room.

I liked- the large area to walk dogs and the friendly check in staff. I didn't like- I double checked with the front desk as to what time check out was. ..noon. We left to eat breakfast at a restaurant and came back to find our belongings stacked out in the hallway. We were back at 10:30 am. Front desk said she'd talk to the girl. I'm uncomfortable leaving this review. There was probably a miscommunication with the cleaning staff. It is a nicely kept property and I would stay here again.
