Central, clean, quiet, safe and well staffed, if not a bit battered and spartan. What little decor there was was showing signs of use (think scuffed walls, buckled veneer), the AC unit had an infrequent high-pitched squeal, and the duvet (the only covering on offer) was just about big and thick enough to keep you covered and warm at night. Toiletries were minimal, and the room was only serviced every three days. There is also an abandoned BHS store next to the property, with the construction gates making it difficult to navigate with luggage to the property. Staff, however, were welcoming and friendly and for the price, the basics were all there; we felt safe, generally slept well, the shower was nice and hot, the room was clean and the location was great. A sound budget choice.
