This was the perfect spot for our trip in Odawara! Not only are the staff incredibly kind and accommodating, they provide small touches that make their guests feel welcome, like inviting us to sit for tea upon arrival, the 24/7 complementary coffee/tea and the cozy pajamas. Just a short walk to everything we wanted! Under 10 minutes to many izakaya options for dinner, 24 hour onsen, train station and Odawara Castle! We recommend Ryokan Plum to anyone staying in the area! Close to train station Did: 24hr onsen, ryokan plum, Odawara castle -travel back to haneda: Odawara train โ€”> Shinagawa โ€”> haneda

Beds were soft and comfortable, and we loved the shared room! Nice area, friendly staff. The one small criticism we had that was unique to the 5 person room was that the toilet was shared with the bar next door. It was a bit old, but otherwise still very clean. Would still definitely stay here again.

The staff is very friendly. Bathrooms and shower room were shared but there is an easy system to make sure no one is in each others way. Room was very spacious, great amenities, gave good recommendations for dinner and things to do. Free coffee and tea in the morning. Would stay again (plus the cat visited each night and was adorable).

Cozy, friendly and extremely stylish

Ryokan Plum is very cozy and beautiful. In our tired moments, just relaxing in our room or the lobby was a fantastic pastime. The staff was extremely friendly and proactively helping us in arriving, with local recommendations, or feel at ease in the guesthouse. Gorokichi, the cozy orange tabby cat, is also a huge plus.
