The room was very clean. I asked for a microwave which was immediately brought up to room at no charge, unlike other hotels which will charge you. The staff was courteous and the hotel had a vibrant atmosphere. The location was perfect, right across the street from the beach where one can catch public transportation in front of the hotel. Shopping and dinning within reach just steps away. The ocea view from the lanai was fantastic.

Staff was very nice. I upgraded to an oceanfront room and the view is amazing. However the bathroom wasn’t clean, it had a bunch of hair in the tub and all over the toilet. The bed and pillow weren’t the greatest. But I feel like most hotels in waikiki need to be renovated so it’s not just this one.

The front desk ladies are the best thing about the hotel. They have the best customer service. I thought this would be a good hotel that was a bit more budget friendly, but the first room we went to had long black hairs all over the bathroom floor and it looked like the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. We moved to a better room, which I paid an “upgrade fee for” and it was at least clean. I’ve never slept on plastic pillows that were probably 20 years old. We awoke at 6am to people above us opening and closing their balcony door. Then shortly after doors banging closed. zero sound proofing. You hear EVERYTHING. We decided to leave and head to the Marriott. The hotel was great about giving us a refund, Hotels.com was horrible to deal with in trying to get a refund and I spent hours - they said they would offer us a fraction of gold key cash or something, just to make us go away. I had to escalate to a few different supervisors to get it sorted.

Great spot to be close to the water and a bunch of stores and restaurants. The pool was nice and deep and the loungers in pool area were typically open (besides the beds that you have to reserve). Always had fresh towels for you to take. My favorite was the beach candy store where you used your room number to rent beach chairs and umbrellas (+more) for free. Unfortunately the rooms only get cleaned every other day. The lock to our balcony door wouldn’t lock/shut the door all the way, so it sounded like a train blowing a horn all day and night. The elevators were quite confusing to use at first and really frustrating, but we got a hang of it after a few days. I WISH there was a microwave in our room… there was a mini fridge but not a microwave. And obviously it’s expensive there and we tried to save our food to eat that and then there wasn’t a microwave to even use in our rooms to heat up food. Rooms were relatively clean, the ceiling looked a little rough in some spots and the bath just gave you an uneasy feeling to not wear shoes in it. The restaurant Tikis at the hotel was fantastic and would come ask if we needed anything while we were sitting at the pool for drink or food even. It was a fun trip. I would probably go here again if I were to ever come back to Hawaii.

Sliding glass door was really hard to close and lock, shower rod was falling off the wall, room was exceptionally small for the price, breakfast was good but 55 dollars to have breakfast was steep especially for how much we paid to stay there. I would say overall it was okay, I’d rate it it 4/10 stars.

There were multiple issues when I booked here, I paid the highest amount and the pictures that were given to me were innacturate to my purchase, there were stains on the bathtub, my boyfriend got multiple bug bites when he slept here.
