The Nazionale is a decent hotel on the main street in Jesolo. Fine for a 3* hotel, with a good location. Although there are a whole array of hotels along the beach front which have private swimming pools, they are obviously much more expensive. This hotel was fine for us: simple, clean and good value.
It is quite possible to get from the beach resort area of Jesolo to Venice, but it takes about 2hrs altogether, by the No.5 bus to Punta Sabbioni and then the public boat to central Venice.
The resort is mainly frequented by Germans, Austrians and Italian families. If you don't speak much Italian, the restaurant waiters will try German on you.
Along the main street are loads of no-nonsense restaurants (pizza etc.) and nice ice cream shops.
All the main hotels - including the Nazionale - have dedicated areas of parasols on the beach just 50m from the hotel, and you will be allocated a parasol and sunloungers which will always be available for you during your stay. It's very well organised, if you don't mind being quite close to your sunbathing neighbours.
