Perfect location-middle of east side so not too far to all activities. Beautiful gardens around condos. Right on the beach. Parking could be better-hard to find a spot after 8 pm. Had to park in marketplace next door one night due to lack of parking spots.
Perfect location; we could watch whales while sipping coffee on our lanai, then walk to restaurants and shops nearby. Theyâve done an excellent job in anticipating what would be needed in the kitchenette, as well as beach chairs, a cooler, etc. The manager reached out to make sure all was well. Wonderful experience!
The location and view are phenomenal! The condo itself was adequate. Furnishings were outdated only two beach towels no umbrella and the condo had a musty smell.
Stayed at Debra's rental at Aston Islander. Location was central to so many things. Within 30 min drive to either Hanalei or Poipu. Amazing view of the lanai looking right out to the water, getting amazing sunrise views.
This is a wonderful place, right on the beach, with a perfect view of the sunrise, and within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. This was our first vrbo experience, so we were shocked that check in and out was amazingly simple -- we were waiting for more instructions!
On a positive note, the unit does have a great view; probably one of the best in the complex. The Islander on the beach has a vintage charm, and nice grounds. My hubs had fun at the little tiki bar, and we liked that the lava lava was next door. I also liked that there were lounge chairs set up on the beach, it makes it easy to go sit by the water.
Unfortunately, the room had such an uncomfortable, lumpy mattress, that I ended up sleeping on the twin size pull out cot for most of the week. Kind of ironic considering I rented the place for the king size bed. Also, we only had one beach towel, and two bath towels each to last for 9 days. As a vrbo guest, you donât get towel service, and are not allowed to use the laundry room. Iâll never stay at a rental on the beach again that doesnât have access to laundry. While the view was great, I would have traded it on day two for a dry towel and a comfortable bed. It would be an ok place to stay for three days tops, imo.
This was also a strange situation for us, because the condo changed owners between the time we paid, and the day of our arrival. There was definitely a lack of transparency, because the first owner didnât disclose that she was selling the unit until we had paid the non refundable payments. This did cause some confusion and minor inconveniences before we left for this vacation, and the listing doesnât have accurate pictures currently.
Everything was as described in the listing, decent place and met expectations.
Overall we had an enjoyable stay. Our unit was nice enough, the pool, location, and grounds were great.
My only complaints are that the sheets and bedding were paper thin and wouldn't stay on the bed. The toilet wouldn't stop running, we had to lift the lever after each use... not a big deal.
Also, as folks in other units would check out, they would leave trash bags out in front of the units and the cleaning staff wouldn't pick them up? So there were bags of trash just lying around outside our door the whole week even after I told management about it. Ah well... we were at the beach most the time anyway.
This place was great for the price. Oceanview, close to pool, close to shops, restaurants, and coffee. Pool was nice. Room was clean but a little worn down with water damage in spots, which is pretty common with the humidity in Kauai. Check in was easy and hosts were reliable. No extra amenities from the resort were available (such as towel service, room cleaning, extra room supplies, etc.) because this is a privately owned condo.
Overall we enjoyed our stay!
We really enjoyed the location of these condos which are centrally located on the island. Being within walking distance to food, shops and groceries is so convenient. Loved that there is beach access, my husband and I did swim in the ocean right here and had a great time. Right next door a restaurant right on the beach with live music was great.
We had some difficulty getting in contact with the owner of this property at first. We sent a request to shorten our trip by a day over a month before the trip and did not hear back until 2 days before the trip. Completely OK that they couldnât make the change but Iâd expect to hear back sooner.
The best thing about this unit is the view from the balcony. Otherwise, the unit is fine. Itâs a good size and has most of the basics you need (e.g., fridge, toaster, coffee maker). The unit is on the older side and the bed wasnât very comfortable. However, it was clean and a decent space. One small issue is that there was no drying rack and you are not allowed to hang your towels over the balcony, so we had to get creative for drying our things. With how humid and damp it gets in Kauai, it would have been useful to have extra drying space.
No huge issues. A decent price and a wonderful view of the ocean.
We could have watched the ocean all day long, amazing view. Apartment pretty basic but everything we needed, except ice! The freezer section of the fridge didnât work but that was not a huge issue.
We were just here for a few days, but the location was fantastic. We were easily able to travel around the whole island. The view was amazing, and the room was great. Highly recommend.
