Fantastic little place. Convenient to train station, bus stop, market. The area is quiet, room is clean, friendly staff, affordable, free laundry. Only negative is the bed which is quite hard for my liking. Overall will come back to Miro Kyoto Nijo Hotel again in the future!

The room was fine, a little dated and basic but otherwise okay. On the other hand, the price point for the room was exceptional. Basic room for a low price. There was a laundry room onsite, though I didn’t make use of this. Air conditioner in the room did keep the room cool, even in 30 C weather. Staff were friendly and the lady at check-in spoke good English making the process very quick. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to JR Nijo station where you can get all trains for JR passes like Osaka or Arashiyama. This is great as the JR passes don’t cover general subway lines. Very convenient location.

The facility was dated but clean and maintained. There is a communal kitchen for use and laundry facilities ( wash only, no dryer). Luggage storage is a little shaky. Just left in the lobby. Close to lots of transportation
