Bearable, but kind of rubbish for what you pay. I don’t know if it’s the northern in me, but we paid £202 for two nights. Last time we were in London we paid £64 a night, and stayed in a much better hotel in Kensington Gardens. It was not worth the £202.
The toilet barely flushed, it was blocked upon arrival before we even used it, and we got blamed for using toilet wipes. This was despite me telling him it was blocked when we got there? I think he presumed I’d put my makeup wipes down the toilet. Anyway, it needed a plunger to unblock the last guests issue.
Tatty furnishings, radiator a tetanus risk (rust everywhere), bent picture frames, a shoddily painted mirror in the basement, exposed nails in the table. No hand soap in the bathroom, carpet has seen better days, no shampoo or conditioner (that’s just me being pedantic, but it would’ve been nice to be warned). Maid who came in 30 minutes before check out and rudely told us check out was at 11. Fair enough, but no need to be rude.
10 minutes away from a tube station which is nice. Be warned there’s about 4 other Comfotels on this road so make sure you go to the right one.
