We had a nice stay at Secrets with our group of 6 (we booked three swim-up garden view rooms).
Overall, we enjoyed the facility and our rooms. The selection of bars was good, though we would have liked to see slightly more elevated liquor offerings. Most of the restaurants were decent. The special teppanyaki dinner at Himitsu was a highlight—be sure to show up to get in line around 3:30–4pm for a reservation that night. The seafood restaurant, Oceana, was our other favorite. The Italian restaurant, Portofino, wasn't as good as we would have hoped due to the "formal" dress code and could use some improvements to the pasta dishes especially, which we found lacked flavor.
A few suggestions for improvement:
1. We were disappointed that no drink service was available at our swim-up room. This was one of the highlights of our stay at another similar resort, and we felt it was a big missing piece.
2. Housekeeping in our room was lacking. We requested more towels for our swim-up pool, more Nespresso coffee pods because we were out, more water in our mini fridge, and more hangers for the closet. Housekeeping wasn't attentive to our requests, which really cheapened our experience.
3. Upon arrival, no one offered to bring our bags to our room and we had to walk back out to the parking area to retrieve our baggage ourselves.
4. The quality of the room service food could be improved.
Overall, good stay! With a few service improvements, this would have been a much better experience.
