We stayed at the Best Western Plus InnTowner Madison during a difficult time, as we had a family member in the hospital nearby. The location was extremely convenient—it gave us a short walk between the hotel and the hospital, which was a nice way to get fresh air and exercise. It also saved us from paying daily hospital parking fees. The hotel itself was comfortable and had the convenience of a bar and restaurant onsite. Dinner and breakfast were easy, and while the breakfast was basic, it was fine—I just wish the hours were a little longer. They also had a small convenience store with snacks and a section for basic over-the-counter medicines, which was especially helpful when we needed little things without leaving the hotel. The staff was accommodating and kind, which we truly appreciated given the circumstances. The only issue was at check-in. The computers were down, and we were supposed to receive the hospital discount rate. Instead, we had to book through Expedia, which ended up costing us about $50 more than what the discounted rate would have been. It would be helpful if Expedia offered a way to apply the hospital discount directly when booking, especially when hotel systems are down. Overall, our stay was comfortable and convenient, and the staff’s kindness really stood out during a stressful time.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even when arriving late at night. The complimentary breakfast was made hot and fresh on the premises and included options for all types of diets. The beds were very comfortable and the entire facility was extremely clean. They have a pool and a hot tub which were very welcome after a long multi-day road trip!

The shuttle to downtown was great as parking is very limited. Worked great for our visit to UW Madison. Breakfast was also very good- would definitely stay again!
