Check in staff was curt and didn't provide help regarding transportation to airport. TV had no remote in room. Wifi was slow to the point of being unusable.

The hotel was dirty, our room was not cleaned. The carpet in the elevator was never vacuumed in the 3 days/2 nights we were there. I was charged a $50 damage deposit (which was refunded on checkout) but the sleeper sofa in our room was already damaged when we checked in, had not been replaced & was unusable during our stay. I took photos of the damage & the room & showed them to Leo the desk clerk. He did not appear to care about the damage, and just told me my deposit would be returned at checkout. The ventilation was bad in the room & hallway, with the hallway corridors reaking of various strong food / cooking smells. I don’t know what our neighbors were cooking in their room(s). Given how dirty the hotel was, we decided we did not want to try to eat the free breakfast, which had been part of our decision to stay there. We believed it would be safer to eat offsite at a restaurant even though it cost us more money. I will never stay at this hotel again, and don’t plan to try any other LaQuinta hotels in the near future, even though I am eligible to earn points.
