Decent Hotel for Last Minute Booking

Had to book a hotel night at the last minute for our son‘s graduation ceremony and was thrilled to find that we could still get a hotel room within 20 minutes of campus.

Breakfast bar was not kept up with coffee, food, and plates. The utensils were terrible they bent went used and the knives couldn't cut anything. We were in the second building and one morning found the elevator crowded with chairs with no one in it.

We reserved three rooms for UW graduation weekend almost a year in advance. We ended up with three rooms in the adjacent building, two of which were in the basement and were damp and musty smelling. One room had a leaky sink that got the carpet all wet. Clearly an ongoing issue. Never again.

Shocked that Expedia has this hotel on their site. Rooms are old and crusty feeling. Bathroom floor has uneven tiles and broken grout pieces. Room smelled. Hair on chair from a previous guest. If I could give it negative stars I would.

They stay itself was great, the breakfast was mediocre, but the room was great the area was safe, the pool and hot tub was clean. The service at the end of my stay was terrible had an issue where i was swore at by the front desk attendant. Threatend to be dragged outside and ultimately cops called for 10min.

The staff was outstanding from the time of our late evening arrival until our departure the next day. We were in room 221. The tile on the floor in the bathroom is in terrible shape. Many of the tiles are cracked and many are so loose you could pick the tile up from its setting in the grout. I first noticed it when I cut my foot on a tile that was cracked into two pieces and one very sharp edge sat up above the remainder of the tile. They are many spots between the tile where there is no grout in the groove. We had to wear our shoes or socks the remainder of our stay when in the bathroom. This should be addressed immediately so that no one else gets hurt. The remainder of the facility seemed to be in good condition.

The front desk service was not that friendly when we checked in. All other staff was very nice. The room door didn't close securely most of the time. You could actually see a gap at the top of the door. We made sure the dead bolt was secure at night. Bathroom fan was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk. I would not be returning.
