Bad mattress and bathroom

The service and customer service was excellent. The bed was terrible. I stayed in room 215 and the mattress was like a pyramid, high in the middle and sloping on each side. Could not get comfortable. At 12.40 am the TV came alive. Despite the fact I didn’t use it at all, it switched on at full blast., obviously waking me up startled, I think it may have picked up the signal from neighbouring room. It happened twice during the night which together with the terrible mattress resulted in very poor sleep. The bathroom was clean but VERY old. Definitely not a 3 star. Will not be staying there again.

Booking easy, staff really helpful. Room not like the picture on booking site, disappointed, although clean room needs attention a little tired with paint flaking off walls. Carpets had bits on them. No where to store clothes, plenty of room, beds not suitable for people of heavier weight, husband got up with pain in back due to no support. Fantastic breakfast, good variety

Friendly Staff and well located hotel

WHAT WAS GOOD: Well located, less than 5 minutes from the motorway. Added bonus of having its own car park. Good sized room. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Great shower. Very reasonably priced. WHAT WAS NOT SO GOOD: On a busy main road so there is a lot of traffic noise. No air conditioning but we took our own fan so this wasn’t a problem for us. Despite the not so good issues we would stay here again.

Exceeded expectations

Went down for a 1 night stay for the Springsteen gig. Can’t fault the hotel. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Hotel was quiet. Didn’t hear any other guests. Bar was good. Various vending machines. Breakfast was great. Everything you’d expect. Location isn’t central Manchester but there is a bus stop right outside and buses every few minutes. The bus takes about 10 mins to city centre. There’s also a train station very close but we didn’t use that.

Perfect for what we needed, a place to sleep after the Co-Op Live Springsteen gig. I have one BIG criticism……..the poor night receptionist was left completely on his own handling the front desk AND serving drinks in the bar to returning gig guests!! Poor staff management I feel, given that most of your guests on 14/5/25 were attending the concert & returned hoping for a drink. Considering how lucrative this night was for you, it was very unfair not to have at least 1 other staff member on duty to help him! All things considered, he did a great job!! 👏👏

Location is really convenient for Etihad centre. Room was clean and comfy bathroom needed a bit of an update, breakfast was good. It needs more staff on when there’s a concert on at the Arena just one man working the reception and bar he did his best and was apologetic but it was quicker getting a drink at the venue!
