A year round, 4-Season House - 5 Min to Chautauqua Institute, Lakeside Park & Chautauqua Lake across the street.

- Great Location! Just across the street from Lake Chautauqua. (view of the lake from your vacation rental, house is second one in from the Lake on Valley St. coming from Rte. 394 )
- The Chautauqua Institution is just down the street, quick 4 mile drive away.
- Mayville’s Lakeside Park is right across the street which has a free public boat ramp / launch and a public park with a play ground, tennis courts, basketball court and picnic tables.
- Two separate clean, air conditioned bedrooms are located on 2nd floor. Queen bed in master bedroom and one queen bed and one twin bed in second bedroom. This house sleeps a total of 5 guests in beds.
- A clean, full bathroom located on first floor.
- House is updated, neat & clean, paint, carpet, furniture, appliances.
- Washer / Dryer (full size)
- WI-FI, high speed internet - Smart TV - YouTube TV including local stations.
- All bedding is provided (sheets, blankets, pillows, comforters)
- All kitchen and bath towels are provided

- Off street parking, long private driveway that can accommodate three cars plus additional spaces for snowmobiles, jet skis and/or a boat.
- Chautauqua Marina is a two minute walk from your house. Where you can rent a boat or Jet Ski or dock your own boat.
* Float your boat during your stay at your own slip at the Chautauqua Marina.
* Marina is just down the street, it's a short walk or drive from your vacation house.
* You can launch your boat either at the marina or right across the street at the Mayville Lakeside park boat launch.
* You can park your boat trailer / snowmobiles in the private extra long driveway at your vacation house for safe keeping.

What a great house/yard! Really appreciated having a sizable fenced-in yard to make us and our 2 poodles feel right at home with Adirondack chairs and fire pit as well as the deck with table/chairs. Just perfect for playing fetch and to lounge/entertain a few guests. Inside the home was also so comfortable and well furnished and equipped. The house has just about anything you need. And the neighborhood is very walkable with an ice cream stand, local park with tennis/pickleball and basketball courts...as well as lakeside picnic areas and rails to trails. And plenty of other options within a half hour drive (restaurants, Chautauqua Institute, golf course, etc). We will definitely be back!!

Owners were very welcoming. They went over and above to accommodate an unusual special need. Well equipped kitchen. Quiet neighborhood. The dogs loved the fenced yard. The usual steep stairs found in older homes. We were otherwise very comfortable. About 2 blocks from the lake, a park, and walking trails.

Great location for a dog friendly visit

We loved the walkability of the neighborhood- we visited the ice cream shop a couple of times! The lake was just a quick walk away, and the Chautauqua Rails to Trails path offered a convenient running path that we utilized every day we were there.The house was perfectly sized for our family, and the dog amenities were great! I would highly recommend staying here for a visit to Chautauqua with your pup.

Great Cottage!

The cottage was nicely decorated, clean, quiet and comfortable. Close walk to the park, restaurant and lake. Our dogs enjoyed the fully fenced yard. Will be back when the weather is more warm to enjoy the deck and to grill out.

Cottage by the lake

Excellent communication from hosts prior to check-in, Todd was very nice and accommodating. Quiet neighborhood and easy to find, smooth check-in process, house was exceptionally clean. Great dog-friendly yard with treats and dog toys. We enjoyed the fire pit. Everything was very comfortable for three or four adults. Will stay again if we come back to the area.

We had a great time here. Loved the back deck and yard. Days were hot but the house was nice and cool. So wonderful to be able to bring our dog along and the fenced in yard makes it so easy. House was so cute and clean. Great location.

This was our third summer staying at this property with our dog. Listing is as described. House is very clean and comfortable with short walk to the lake and a great ice cream place. Owners easy to work with and quick to respond. Short drive to Chautauqua Institution. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Clark's Cottage. It was quaint, clean, and comfortable. The Clarks were wonderful hosts. They were very responsive after we booked our stay and promptly answered all our questions while on our trip. We look forward to booking this cottage again! I highly recommend it!

Total Eclipse 2024

My husband, me and our 3 year old puppy, enjoyed our stay in Mayville at Todd's home. The house was cozy and clean and very dog friendly. We enjoyed the proximity to Lake Chautauqua and the many sidewalks in the neighborhood made for varied dog walking routes. Mayville was in the zone of totality for the eclipse. We were able to get a super view of the "show" from the comfy Adirondacks in the back yard. My 6 ft 5 husband did occasionally bump his head on the gabled ceilings in the bedroom and some of the ceiling fans. Just a warning for the overly tall renter!!

Buffum Family Wedding Anniversary Weekend

My wife and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary, while our son and daughter-in-law celebrated their first! We found the cottage to be an excellent, clean and functional "safe haven" given the very rainy weekend! It was an excellent home base allowing us to explore the area and dine at the cottage / out on the town. Our dog especially loved the fenced yard!

The home was close to the Marina for our boat rental. The park and playground close by were a bonus for our daughter. The house was clean and well managed. We appreciated having a Keurig for morning coffee and the bottle of wine was an added bonus. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a home close to the lake and all the amenities.
