We had a wonderful stay at the Georgian Court Inn in Melbourne - a truly authentic bed and breakfast experience that felt welcoming and full of character. The room was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with a kettle and coffee, and the shower was an absolute delight after long days exploring the city. Breakfast was good and typical. One of the biggest highlights is the location: just a short walk from the free CBD tram zone, making it incredibly easy to get around Melbourne without needing the car which we left at the back of the hotel as it offers free parking - a huge bonus and not something you easily find in the city. Overall, a really good stay - charming, convenient, and great value. We would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy, genuine Melbourne B&B experience.

L'hÎtel se situe dans une maison style Victorien mais mal entretenue. Les chambres sont sales. Les draps étaient propres mais les serviettes de toilettes pas bien lavées. La douche est tantÎt chaude, tantÎt froide. Pour le petit-déjeuner, le café était lyophilisé et le jus de fruits de basse qualité. Bref à éviter.

Séjour agréable à Melbourne

Séjour de 6 nuits, à proximité du centre ville et des transports. Les chambres sont de taille correcte et bien entretenue. Le service est fort sympathique et disponible. Le petit déjeuner est copieux, et fourni. Le rapport qualité/prix est trÚs bon, on reviendra.

First impressions were not good. Very run down out the front and back of property. Quite a bit of rubbish lying around. Reception was very untidy too. It is an old property so obviously it is not going to be shining. We were greeted with a welcoming smile and given information on the parking and breakfast. Our room was fine. It was clean, beds comfortable, tea and coffee facilities. WiFi was good. The bathroom was tired looking but it was clean. In such an old property things are going to look worn and the bathroom was like that. It is an asset to have free parking and breakfast included. The breakfast was basic but perfectly adequate. It was nice to have eggs cooked for us. For the price we thought it was good value and would probably stay again.

I slept well on the clean linen and comfortably firm matress and the room was a pleasant temperature and the shower had plenty of hot water. However the building tends to the dilapidated and grubby. It would have been useful to know in advance my bathroom was down the hall so I could have brought a dressing gown for the dash under a camera's scrutiny! I was disappointed there was no iron on the premises to freshen my shirt.

We stayed 2 nights. The rate was cheaper than other places. The appearance at entry was poor but could be easily fixed - weed the front garden and use a store room not the front desk area for boxes of whatever. Room was small (expected) and poorly arranged - drawers beside bed prevent robe door opening. Bed was comfortable, good hot water for the shower. Breakfast Saturday morning exceeded expectation. Expected continental breakfast and got a full hot breakfast as well as juice, toast, cereal etc. with a couple of staff continually replenishing and clearing in a cheerful, helpful way. After that we would have given higher rating but breakfast next morning was hopeless. No orange juice lefter after first quarter hour, no eggs at all, slow replenishing of bread for toast, no replenishing of sausages, bacon or baked beans with only one staff member who appeared disinterested, probably because he had no goods to provide when regularly requested by guests.. After that breakfast experience the poor appearance of the accommodation came back to front of mind. We expected a small, old and tired room and facilities for the price but not a weed filled entry from the street or cardboard boxes stacked at the front desk area.

Room not ready when we arrived. Told to wait for 20 mins (closer to an hour). 1 very busy girl trying to get rooms sorted. Beautiful building very old and dated, peeling paint and dirty carpets but just needs a bloody good clean. Our ensuite was small but functional and no mold unlike some other reviews! Room ‘superficially’ clean - needed a good vacuum. Comfortable bed and great location for what we needed. Just need to employ experienced cleaners.

Absolutely filthy. Room carpet so dusty it looked covered in thick grey fur, mould in bathroom and fridge, toilet seat unattached, accessed down a corridor with broken/rotten floorboards, just held together by the carpet on top. Owner moved us to another room - also dirty/mouldy, this time with a pair of used men's undies on the floor. We were then offered a 3rd room, this one just plain dusty and mouldy. I have never complained about accommodation before, but asked for a refund and went elsewhere. Still gobsmacked by how filthy this place was.

Very old place. Not charming old but slummy old. There were a number of bugs in my room, stains on the carpet, and the mattress was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was ok, but I wouldn't eat it if it wasn't included. But the worst part is that it's located right next to train tracks, so you will hear the train from 4am until midnight!! I got the worst sleep in years at this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Georgian Court. We had come to participate in Melbourne marathan and chose this hotel as close to where we needed to be. The hotel definately needs some improvements and maintenance done, but this was reflected in the very cheap price we paid. Floors could do with possibly restumping, outdoors at the front defibately needed weeding and fresh paint. Our room was clean but basix which was fine fir our needs and would stay again
